Thank you for this video. My A button sticks engaged on occasion but surprised it still works for being around 33 yrs old. I recently took apart and cleaned the regular controllers and I'm enjoying my NES more than I ever did. Bought some new games and loving it! NES is a timeless classic!

Just finished one I bought as "parts"-- made it look and work like new. I recommend a $50 ultrasonic cleaner to make cleaning stuff like this easy. Just drop the parts in and turn it on. And I always use superlube on buttons and joysticks too.

Bought one of these on ebay, took it apart and cleaned it all out! Glad I did, previous owner definitely spilled soda inside the Advantage.

Very nice. I have one of these that I've barely tried out. But notice the buttons are sluggish... Might have to do a similar clean-up.

Any idea where to get a replacement joystick?

That was quite the buy for $53. Especially if the NES works

My turbo buttons are basically fused. I have no idea what the past owner did

Why do some ones have a plastic t shape pice

So I am just guessing, but I believe it is a revision because mine had the same t piece, and it holds the wires against the board, which would reduce tension on them so they dont get pulled out. Makes sense if they added it because it was a point of failure.
