A puzzle game by (for simplicity's sake) Nintendo.
I guess...something about Mario being a construction worker...Iunno. NO PLOT!
REALLY, REALLY difficult puzzle game with 100 Stages. Some phases can become unwinnable. Thankfully, the developers made the Select button the "reset" button (go back to the Title Screen).
For this longplay, I go through all 100 Phases with no skills. I do get the Golden Hammer here and there and a few lives. I won't bother with the mechanics of getting the Golden Hammer. Just know that it involves a formula, swings, and bombs. Lives are obtained by finding which doors/walls contain M-A-R-I-O (or L-U-I-G-I, but everyone knows "that green guy" is irrelevant.), but that's easier said than done.
Did I mention there was no skills involved?
I did this because hipoonios demanded it! He better be a happy hipoonios or I will remain a sad Tsunao. D= -

My grand father had a NES back in day when I was like 5 or 6 year old, he had this game, I remember loving that game, especially the part where you build your own stage, back in the 90s that was crazy to me

You know what? I wish Nintendo would revisit Wrecking Crew. I like the idea of Mario having different jobs, or rather doing things not necessarily related to fighting Bowser. I mean, there WAS a stage based on Wrecking Crew in Super Smash Bros. (it even got it's own series symbol separate from the Mario one, even though it's a Mario game), and it was even a Masterpiece on the Wii U version! Maybe that got people's attention... Though I might be saying all this just so Foreman Spike can come back into the Mario canon. What can I say? I like his design! ...His bearded design, that is, not his Wrecking Crew '98 design design where he basically looks like a buffer Waluigi (who would make his debut two years later). Hey, he'd be another character to use in spin-offs so Nintendo wouldn't have to resort to using generic enemies, babies, or variations on the same character like Metal Mario and Cat Peach! #WreckingCrew #ForemanSpike

Wrecking Crew for the NES is from 1985. It follows the VS. System version of the game called VS. Wrecking Crew which came out the previous year. In both games, the player controls Mario (Player 2 as Luigi) working on a demolition site. The goal is to break down all walls on each phase. However, this version is more focused on the puzzle platformer aspect and removed competitive play entirely as there is no simultaneous two-player mode.

Same here, I am the mom, I use to wait till they go to bed and practice, so I wouldn't look so bad. Going to see one of my sons tomorrow and taking the game with me, I have a notebook of cheat sheets for the names and hammers. Kuddos to the player, to do this run without dying is impressive. Having played this game back in the 80s, extremely satisfying to see someone knock out the 90s and 100 level. The one element that was always a wildcard in the game was the fireball. A lot of the strategy is predicated on the fireball showing up.

I am very disappointed about this game in terms of multi player game , 1 theres no vs mode that would,ve been fun if 2 players had to beat each level and the one who breaked most dours should get more points. And it would,ve been nice if in the bonus levels that 2 players had to grab the coin as first as possible and the one who grabbed it first slould,ve to get more points,but sadly no. 2 theres no time limit wich could,ve make the game more exciting and intens. 3 the status bar don't scroll with the player wich is weird. If nintendo did that, the game would,ve be way soo much more intense. The thing is that alternate 2 player is not that fun. Oke maybe if this had to do with the limitations of the hardware then i can understand this but otherwise no. Let's hope there will be a remake with these extra's.
