DoctorHver A remastering of this sequel would be a real awesome idea in the eyes of the show's fan community. If it were real, some players would dismiss it as inferior to the remastering of the first DuckTales NES game (partly because the sequel is not as well known), but I think there would be some improvements beyond those made to the first game in its remake, like characters gaining talking sprites for use in cutscenes, a few characters' palettes getting tweaked to be closer to the show, and being able to find the hidden treasures even on the Easy difficulty. And besides, I have my own idea of how WayForward would expand the game's story. I believe it would be as follows: The Remastered version would start at McDuck Mansion. As morning falls, Huey, Dewey and Louie are the first ones up, waking up ahead of Scrooge and even the household servants. They all agree that their life has been pretty boring over the last few days, and decide to pass the time in the mansion's basement. They find a strange piece of paper that looks like part of a treasure map. Deciding to take it to Scrooge, they barge into his room just as he's finishing up his bedtime and call out to him, wanting to show him the paper. Initially Scrooge turns them away, telling them not to disturb him, but once he's awake, clean and clothed, he heads to the living room to meet the boys. When asked what he and his brothers were doing, Huey tells Scrooge about the paper they found in the basement, and Scrooge seizes the "map" to inspect it. It turns out it IS a treasure map, and he finds the inscription "The Secret Treasure of Clan McDuck" and explains to the nephews that it belonged to his Great-Uncle Fergus and that the other pieces of the map were torn off by him and hidden all over the world. Then after breakfast, Scrooge wastes no time in setting out to claim the map's pieces, so he calls Launchpad to help him out. The pilot accepts his boss's offer, claiming that he knows the locations of the map's pieces and that each locale contains a treasure that would be of interest to Scrooge as well. So, when the player decides to visit a level for the first time, Launchpad offers survival tips for the area and explains what kinds of treasures Scrooge might find there, with Scrooge offering some dialogue of his own to go along with it this time. The hub location for the Remastered version would be Scrooge's own office, where he can swim in his Money Bin to track his earnings throughout the adventure, get special items from an "Item Shop" which Mrs. Beakley has set up, or go to the Control Center to have Launchpad pilot him to the next treasure on his list. In Niagara Falls, Scrooge searches for the fabled Crystal Flower, which blooms only once in a millennium, and which Launchpad tells him is on the far side of the falls. The nephews are absent from the Falls here, but Flintheart Glomgold is added in the middle of the level (after Scrooge finds his way out of the landslide), where he tells Scrooge to give up and that he'll never find the flower, with Scrooge insisting that he WILL beat his rival to the treasure. However, Webby still remains to tell Scrooge of Gyro's presence, and a certain Caveduck is still there to save Scrooge from the landslide with his "BUBBA SMASH!" Additionally, as the player encounters a rubber raft before meeting Gyro, Scrooge thanks him for creating the raft for his convenience. Gyro gives Scrooge an iron (golf club) that can break things his cane wouldn't. Eventually, Scrooge battles a flaming duck called the FireQuacker, and defeats it. With the nephews gone from the Falls, Scrooge now learns of the FireQuacker's presence from Glomgold, who tells him that he'll have to face that creature on his way to the Crystal Flower, while attempting to discourage him from defeating it. In the Bermuda Triangle, one of Scrooge's cargo ships has gone missing, which may be the work of Quackbeard the Pirate and his gang. The ship was carrying a famous jewel called the Mermaid's Teardrop. When the player decides to go there, Scrooge learns of the ship's disappearance from one of his workers, then telephones for his flagship to be made ready for sea, and he and the nephews board the ship as it charts course straight for the dead center of the triangle, with a vicious fog and some thunderstorms assailing them along the way. While Scrooge searches the ship for the jewel and does battle with the pirate goons, he stumbles upon Gyro who gives him a hammer. Eventually, Scrooge duels with Quackbeard himself, and claims the Mermaid's Teardrop upon defeating him. This scene's script references the episode "Bermuda Triangle Tangle," and to a lesser extent, the pirate scene in "Time Teasers." The Scotland scene is a loose throwback to the episode "The Curse of Castle McDuck." The ancient castle, which originally belonged to Fergus, is now ruled by an evil sorcerer who guards the Lamp of Eternity, so named because its flame will never run out. The castle itself is haunted, and is full of the sorcerer's minions, including lantern-wielding animated severed hands, knights, Druids, and a Ghost Hound. Scrooge next travels to the island continent of Mu, where the Lost City of Atlantis is submerged in the waters offshore. The city's sanctuary is home to the Tablet of Rapa Nui, a mysterious stone plate with great magical powers. Scrooge explains the Legend of Atlantis to the nephews once they've sailed to the island, and as they advance through the level, the boys find a secret note on the floor saying that if a stone is sunk into the sea, the city will appear. Scrooge soon finds a stone, and once he sinks it down, Atlantis does rise from the ocean depths. Eventually, Scrooge has to face a Golem Duck and defeat it to claim the tablet. For the last treasure, Scrooge travels to Egypt, where he must figure out the secret of the Great Pyramid to be the first to lay eyes on the knife of its builder, King Khufu, and claim the treasure. As Scrooge ventures into the pyramid, he, along with the boys, must endure a myriad of traps and every enemy from mummies to jumping sarcophagi. The nephews come across a suspicious hieroglyphic on a wall, and after consulting the Junior Woodchucks' Guidebook, they translate the message as "One is three, three is two, four is one, two is four." What that means is left to Scrooge to find out for himself. As they progress further into the pyramid, the nephews come across more writing on the wall, which, according to the Guidebook, reads "He who sees the light of the sun will find the way." The boys conclude that it must be an instruction as to how to find the treasure. So Scrooge finds a mirror, and exposes it to the light of the sun to open up a secret passageway. After facing more traps and foes and finding another hidden treasure in the process, Scrooge must face the pharaoh himself in one-on-one combat to pick up the knife. If the player collects all the pieces of the map, the nephews discover that the Treasure of Clan McDuck is in Scotland, in the basement of the castle. After dealing with more of the same dangers he faced the first time he was there - including being challenged to a rematch by the sorcerer duck - Scrooge claims his clan's treasure, at long last. Once the player has collected all the treasures, Scrooge gloats in victory briefly, but his joy changes to rage, and we see why: Glomgold has kidnapped the nephews and Webby, and has also released the Beagle Boys from prison and had them steal Scrooge's entire fortune, including the treasures he collected on his adventure. Glomgold names himself the new "Richest Duck in the World" and tells Scrooge that if he wants his kids and his fortune back, he'll have to meet him on his ship. So, once onboard the ship, Scrooge reclaims his five treasures from individual Beagle Boys, and when the two rivals meet in the ship's cabin, Glomgold unveils his robot, the D-1000, and sends it to destroy Scrooge. Unlike the original game, Glomgold is seen controlling the robot from afar, as opposed to simply turning into it. After a long battle, the D-1000 is destroyed, and Glomgold plots to sink the ship and everything onboard. Scrooge sets the kids free, and the five of them manage to carry all the money bags they can off the ship, but everything they can't carry, including the five treasures, is sunk into the sea. Scrooge bemoans the loss of his treasures, but is consoled by the nephews and Webby, and admits that even with the treasures gone he still enjoyed his adventure, and that all he needs in his life to be happy is his love for his family, household staff, and friends. Just then, Launchpad appears, having managed to salvage all of Scrooge's remaining fortune and the five treasures from the shipwreck, and without even crashing the plane. Scrooge reveals that he found the Secret Treasure of Clan McDuck as well, and they all head back to Duckburg as Glomgold is swimming back to shore with no ship to rescue him. Back home, Scrooge goes on the TV news, where they're reporting about the story of his adventure. When interviewed about his success story, he calls it "a legend that will surely go down in [his] family history for generations to come."

Both of the games are good, so its about personal taste. 1st game is side scrolling action game, while the 2nd game is an adventure game. 1st game is more epic, more intense, has more inspiring levels and more interesting enemies, but it also all over the place. 2nd game has better integrity and gives the feeling of authentic adventure. So I do prefer 2nd game because, although its more modest, but it has better execution quality and yesss that Bermuda theme.

I never played either sequels, but I thought it was kinda a big mistake releasing them, especially when both of them lost its popularity during its released and were already replaced on the Disney Afternoon lineup. On top of that, the NES wasn't producing or selling that much in favor of its 16 counterparts (Super NES and Sega Genesis).
