The NES version of Galaga is a good port, but it is actually even harder than the arcade, because the aliens ALWAYS return back up the bottom, even in the first level. This is like the Nintendo Hard version.

Its well known that if you make a shot that hits 2 targets, the hit miss ratio at the end can go over 100%. thats just how its calculated. Looking at the footage there are very few misses. and the number of 2 in 1 shots are just there by chance, in this case quite a bit more than misses.

Not in this version, no. The arcade version does have an ending however. But it's called the kill screen. It happens on Stage 256.

Can't tell if youre on original NES or emulation, but if original how are you getting rapid fire? I have two copies for my NES and it only allows two shots at a time.

it is only 2 shots at a time. It just looks like more when the shots happen so fast. if in doubt pause the video. there is never more than 2 missiles from the player ship (or 2 pairs if double ship) that are in play at any one time.

Sometimes a shot can hit two overlapping targets, which is counted as two hits with one shot. Hence the "over 100%" accuracy.

At least I refer this port as simply "Galaga", because this is the worst subtitle for a game ever! Demons of Death? What kind of subtitle is that?! Thankfully, the subtitle is removed for the My Arcade Micro player and referred it to, again, simply Galaga.
