As part of our commitment to national development and our principle of providing an economic foundation for democracy, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group held a series of dialogues on the Nigerian economy with presidential candidates that will accentuate discussions on the roadmap towards an inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
Nigeria is at a decisive point in its history, and as we countdown to the 2023 polls, it is critical, like never before, to nudge Nigerians towards making informed voting choices. The challenge before us, therefore, is to ensure the evolution of a process towards a leadership with a broad knowledge of the issues and the political will to steer the ship of our great nation towards shared economic prosperity.
In a bid to live up to our mandate to foster the establishment of an economic foundation for democracy, we sought direct engagements with the presidential candidates on critical economic policy reform issues and prescriptions, in the national interest.
The presidential dialogue series is geared towards sensitizing stakeholders and citizens of Nigeria on peaceful, informed, and accountable democratic participation and provide a unique platform and opportunity for presidential candidates to discuss their economic agenda in an environment of civil discourse.

@Otunba Alogba, this is an eye opener expecially for those that fall prey to the social media. Obi is so dull, he never answer any question, infact it will be a shame for NIGERIA to have such mediocre ruling us. The truth be told, his people are hyping and making noise about obi while they know very well that obi is incapable and a big failure and a traitor even to his people. I am surprised that my first analysis was not found here. Indeed, if we want Nigerians to be informed, we must learn to listen to other views. I listened to both Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, and here are my thoughts:- While age may not be on Tinubu's side, he has the brain, the what, when, and how to execute his ideas. Bola Tinubu is still in command of Nigeria's problems and solutions. However, I feel his time was given to the outgoing who did not earn or use the mandate as expected. Conversely, Peter Obi may be the favorite for Nigeria, which includes me as a new face, but he has a lot to catch up on. We hope Peter Obi can bring along talents, experience, and a well-diverse people of good mindset to help govern and move Nigeria forward. There is a big contrast in ideas, experience, and execution of policies between Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu. Whoever is in charge of this platform, please allow Nigerians or anyone to read other people's views and make an informed decision. Thank you.

Yes Tinubu and the present government all have the what when and whatever it takes but they are not using it and will continually not use it. Because thier focus is not to serve Nigeria but to serve thier benefits. So year in year out, whenever elections come, they distribute peanuts to the poor masses and doll out brilliant (probably written by smart Assistants) ideas and strategies for the intellectual masses but once they assume government, every action becomes stark opposite. So please, we can't say anything positive of anyone carrying the cross of APC, the present government that promised Nigerians radical change and ended up plunging the country further into potholes. Seriously? What more proof do we need? Tinubu has some measure of sanity. Atiku is also smart. But we need someone who will actually DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO. All we get is either people who never do what they promise(APC) or people who do some of the things they promise(PDP). Is that what government and leadership is about?? No. It's about time we re-engineer history and change formats, structures and everything that's been designed to favour the leaders but dwindle the citizens and the country. When you have experience and perpetually choose not to use it, you are just a liability. So I won't choose experience that cages me. That's not a smart choice

I went ahead to listen to Tinubu's edition and it was even worse...he said he doesn't want to reveal his secret to others to avoid them copying it.... In life what matters is the results as long as don't do anything unethical to get them... We should keep our eyes on the ball of character of the candidates.... a candidate who has character will naturally have great advisers....you think a great economist like Pat Utomi will not play a pivotal role in his government?
