Thanks; I've been going to this mall my entire life so I've seen it go from bustling and full of life to its sad current state.

Great video. I may take a walk through there this week for one final time. I’ve been going there since I was a kid in the early 80s. I remember stores like Kaplan’s (kids clothing store but they had a small indoor playground and a spot for haircuts), Edco (men’s suit store), the Woolworth store and the Woolworth’s restaurant attached to it. Used to go with my Mom and Grandmother every Saturday for lunch. The place with the glass windows you passed next to the old Cafe Riviera was The Wall. It was a music store. I worked there from 1998-2002. This was back when Sam Goody was down next to Sears. Ironically The Wall (which became FYE) moved in to Sam Goody’s old spot a few years ago before they closed as well. It’s sad to see this mall so empty and almost deserted. The only food place left is Stir Fry 88, which was called China Max years ago. I think big box stores and the pandemic really did the mall in. Sad to see it go in its current state but was glad to be a part of it when crowds came through especially on weekends.

@@mrdjproductions3070 Thanks for watching! It's very sad to see the mall the way it is now. Do you remember where the Woolworth's was? Was I right about it being across from the food court where the Hollister was later located?
@mrdjproductions30702 ай бұрын
@@The-Retail-Archives yes you are correct. It was where the Hollister was directly across from the food court. just to right of it (connected to the store) was the Woolworth Restaurant.

I was at this mall yesterday! I can’t believe I was there. I remembered it from a video about abandoned mallls. It was so deserted. There was no one there in the middle of the day on a Saturday. I gave 90’s vibes!

Well done, nice tour and great description of what used to be there. I haven’t been to this mall since 1973 when Oxford Valley mall opened, and I don’t think I’ve been to Oxford Valley Mall since 1976 when Quakerbridge Mall here in NJ opened. Way back in the early 70’s Neshaminy was the closest mall (almost an hour away) and one of the very few around. We went there mostly for Sears and the clothing stores. There used to be a totem pole at the front entrance, I remember that. BTW - Quakerbridge Mall is still hopping, I was surprised to see how busy it still is since most of the anchor stores have closed up.

@@mjg263 Oxford Valley Mall has definitely seen better days, but it's not nearly as dead as Neshaminy. It's good to hear that Quaker Bridge is doing well, never been there myself though.

The Pizza Zeppole and Chick-fil-a got kicked out the past year. Stewart 's shut down 4 years ago, Charley's left last year. The Tokyo stand shut a bit back, saladworks as well. There used to be a Sarku Japan where the jewelry stand got expanded, and there was a wendy's shut down in '09.

Very good rundown of the mall's history and wow this is the worst I'ver ever seen Neshaminy ever. It only seemed like yesterday when I frequented the Chick-fil-a or Cold Stone inside . Even the indoor Rita's during the winter too. Thankfully the Barnes and Noble and On the Border outside will still be intact as I still go to those two.

Its funny to hear the Narrator say "This used to be Van's".... No this used to be Thom McAnn. That prom place used to be Sam Goody Records. This is very depressing. I never heard of Animal Rides, but what a cute idea. So sad to see everything shut down. I used to go to this mall before the AMC wing was even completed. Pampered Pup was the best place in town for a great hotdog. The same Security Guard patrolled the floors of this mall for many years. Every single time I came here I would see that guard. I can still see him wearing his state trooper hat. The organ store was hilarious to walk by, with a Larry Ferrari wanna-be playing the organ right by the entrance wearing his leisure suit and horrible fake hair on his head, haha.
