We got engaged in February 1983 right in the parking lot. The quaint diamond ring was bought at Zales. Because of the fact that I was so excited and a major snow storm due near Valentines Day, 1983, he asked me right in the parking lot❤️ Neshaminy Mall was the best! Thank you so much for showing this video!

Great tour and video. I have a lot of memories in that mall. I worked at The Wall music store from 1998-2002. There used to be a Kaplan’s down in the same row where Hot Topic is. They were a kids clothing store but also had a place for kids haircuts. I remember my Mom, brother, and I taking my grandmother to the Woolworth restaurant just across from the food court for lunch on Saturdays. It was attached to the main Woolworth store. When I worked at The Wall the food court had so many options. Manhattan Bagel, Cheese steaks, salad, etc. I used to go Sam Goody (ironically where FYE was before it closed) to get the Y100 Sonic Sessions CDs because The Wall didn’t carry them. Still have an old Sam Goody shopping bag. Edco was store that sold men’s suits. Mark was the guy who always helped me when I went in there. Not sure whatever happened to him. Nice guy though. Would come in The Wall and buy Frank Sinatra CDs. Then there was the pet store. And yes I remember the Totem Pole from a number of years ago. Sad to see what the once great mall has become. I worked a Christmas Eve once it was always a madhouse. Around 2018 I went in to the mall on Christmas Eve to pick up a chicken nugget tray from Chick Fil-A and it was almost empty. Even picked up a few CDs from FYE for old time’s sake. There was also a restaurant above the old Strawbridge and Clothier (Macy’s). Thanks for the video.

Back in the early '90s, The timeout arcade was very much what a modern day Chuck E Cheese is now. They used to have a prize counter and tickets and you can exchange them for all sorts of cool stuff. My dad and I used to play there all the time. Took me over a year and a half to finally earn my first CD stereo set. 😂

Where the Barnes & Nobles is, you are right about the pet store and it being an entrance to the mall and there was a bank in the entrance/exit hall. When I was little, my mother cleaned the bank in the evenings. I would go with her and run around either in the bank or mall while she worked. Always made it into the pet shop.

Several years ago I ate at Friendlys in that mall and you could feel the mall was toast, it was right before the Covid nonsense. Then the next time I was there 6 months later, half the stores were gone. Food court had a Wendy’s for years which was always packed. The newsstand was to the left. Cafe Riviera was a terrific spot. Models sporting goods was near the movie theatre

So sad so many Friday / Saturday nights spent there as a middle schooler / early high schooler with friends between the shops and movies in the early to mid 2000s. I lived 2 mins away right before I got married last year & it was a ghost town but sad to hear it’s going .

12:10 Does anyone remember the Magic shop kiosk right where the "Safe talk" sign is? It's was in the 1970's I think. As a boy I couldn't wait to see what tricks they had and my parents would usually by me one trick. The salesman would show some tricks, and if I knew how he was doing it, I didn't want it, but if I couldn't figure it out, that's was the one I wanted. To the left of that was a Roy Rogers.

There used to be a beaver at the fountain too. Also the so-called shadow boxes with the figures were on 2 walls and there were speakers on a post in front of some of them and when you pushed the button a story was told about the scene. Not sure when they removed that part of it.

Sucks. One of the places I could get to on the weekend is gone. Still will go for the movies and Barnes and noble. It was a chance to go and buy things in person(remember that) and not have to wait for them to be delivered, lost in shipping or be at home to avoid the horrid porch pirates. Maybe one day it will come back to life. Remember what’s is old is new again… ex: turntables, records and Atari. One can only hope.
