[DOUBT] : Hey as you explained in the earlier videos class C starts from 192-223, with default subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and first three octets/bytes must be equal for two machines to belong a the same class C network then why in this video is 10.10.10.0 considered class C since it does not start from 192 i am confused hope u understood my doubt.
@rajatnayak9722 жыл бұрын
class C can be used for lower classes like B and A likewise class B can also be used for class A But class A cannot be used for B or C and B cannot be used for C

actually i think he just gave an example to make us understand about the subnetting :)

Dude 192.223.1.1 has subnet mask obviously 255.255.255.0 and second IP 10.10.10.0 also HAVE subnet of 255.255.255.0 in both IP first octets are reserved for network and remaining are for host so yes these two belongs from class c

[Doubt] 8:59 in the example where 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.9 are belongs to different network as we take subnet mask 255.255.255.248. How? 1 and 9 the last byte of IP address are less then 248 last byte of subnet mask, I think they still belongs to same network? Correct me please😢

because bhai ye tab hota jab wobhi 255 hota last wala i mean example : 255.255.255.255 agar ese hota to wo uskay addar ata
@PRADEEPKUMAR-l4b3gАй бұрын
because the subnet mask 255.255.255.248 (/29) divides the larger network into smaller subnets, each with 8 IP addresses. As a result, IP addresses that appear close numerically may still belong to different subnets. as ranges of subnets are: Subnet 1: Network address: 10.10.10.0 Usable IPs: 10.10.10.1 to 10.10.10.6 Broadcast address: 10.10.10.7 Subnet 2: Network address: 10.10.10.8 Usable IPs: 10.10.10.9 to 10.10.10.14 Broadcast address: 10.10.10.15

How 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.9 belongs to class B and Class C addresses, and also belongs to same network. I understand each classes(A,B,C) will have different subnet mask.When it starts with 10 series it means it Class A address right?. Please clarifiy
@tuhaniatech Жыл бұрын
bro we can also use class C and class B subnet for class A IP Addressses but we cannot use Class A subnet for Class B and Class C IP Addresses. So it is not necessary that every time the IP Addresses starting with 10 should be of class A. we can also define class A IP addresses with class B and C subnet mask also the series of 10.

Why not use a diiferent name for subnet mask as they cant distinguish the subnets within.
