Hi, why didn't you just remove the drip tray from the front? 😁

It's a good question Lee - as I recall I thought I could get away with just balancing the jug without removing the drip tray.

There is a lumpy part that sticks out when you remove the drip tray, and it’s harder to balance on that than just leaving the drip tray on, and the water drips close to the machine, so you have to have a water catching container pretty much pushed against the machine.

My machine is already in the descale mode, no matter what I do. So I just run the cleaner through ? This is only the 2nd descale.

Once the machine is in descale mode then yes you can just run the cleaner through. But I would just check that you can exit that mode before committing yourself. Good luck!

I do have the Nespresso milk frother but it is the "off board" version so I don't know if you can run it alongside the machine when it is built in. I suspect you can but perhaps another owner can confirm?

Nespresso official videos actually recommend 2 rinses with clean water where as you only did one 😬 I noticed on my first clean water rinse residue from the descaling so it wouldn't be ready in my opinion.

After cleaning, I tend to run a used pod through the machine to avoid any after taste just in case, but I've never done two full rinses.
