I’m having an issue with coffee grounds coming out into the cup! I have ordered a descale kit as I am sure it is long over due for me. But would you reuse the solution the 2nd time considering I have coffee grounds in mine?! Or should I just use the 2 descale sachets in the kit?

Maybe run it with just water a couple of times to clear it out as much as possible before using the descale liquid

@@ChrisAsipyan thanks for your reply! I am currently doing that yes, with the help of a soft toothbrush on the puncture plate! A good bit of debris is coming out! So hopefully can descale in a day or 2 when the kit arrives.

I don't know why but every time i press both buttons it either goes on empty mode straight up empty or it turns off

If you're using the exact same machine as mine and doing exactly what I'm doing... Then, something else is wrong with your machine. Perhaps the sensor to detect if there is water in the container is not working.

Set the machine up at the edge of the sink.... You can collect the solution in a jug to reuse

Same here. No ‘descaling mode’ on mine. So I just run the liquid through and hope for the best.

I did the procedure. Afterwards the pump did not work anymore. The Nespresso on line assistance could not help. Everytime I do the descalcification I have this problem.

Maybe your machine is stuck at descale mode or your pump has some air in it, retry to exit descale mode and retry pulling shots it will release air, good luck

This sounds like a pretty bad problem. I wonder if many people experience this issue. Perhaps others reading this comment can provide some additional insight about this

This happened to me too the first time i descaled my machine. It was an airlock problem that cannot be troubleshot with the usual troubleshooting methods that nespresso had it picked up to be repaired by the service center (good thing still covered by warranty). This time around, my machine works fine after descaling and the thing i did differently was not removing my water cannister when refilling with clean water. I just get another cup and pour in water after the cannister is emptied. Idk if that's really what helped lol but maybe less air gets stuck in the pump when it's just stuck to the machine 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

If you are unsure, just run water through it a few more times to be sure it's all flushed out

I descale mine when I notice that it's outputting the coffee slower than usual. I normally do it once a year.

Maybe try to hold the two buttons for seven seconds as opposed to five seconds. That seems to do the trick. Hope this helps.😀

My machine pump got airlocked after descaling. Nespresso had it picked up by service center as well to be fixed. 😂 Now I'm always holding my breath everytime i descale cos my nespresso warranty has ended 😅
