I thought melozio was the perfect cup of coffee, then I had this! I add 4oz of half and half and one packet of stevia sweetener. My taste buds defiantly pick up the cocoa after adding the cream. Great video !

ipon70 Just had my first Fortado...at 1 pm. Excellent straight up; strong, flavorful! This is on my just-started go-to list (got Vertuo+ two days ago). Question: Like you, I use heavy whipping cream in the AM. How much cream do you use with this coffee?

I’m new to the Nespresso family and I’m already so in love with my machine. Forrado was actually the first capsule I tried and it is one of my favorites. Love your videos by the way!

I personally love Fortado! I sometimes mix in a pump and a half of peppermint syrup with milk to imitate a mint mojito from Philz Coffee (a popular coffee shop in northern and southern California). Amazing in a cup!

I LOVE that coffee! I travel a lot for work and one of the hotels I stay at has a Nespresso machine in the room with a couple fortado pods. The front desk always gives me a bunch of extras 😄 Free fortado for life! Oh and, it's surprisingly amazing as an iced coffee with soy milk and vanilla syrup!

Nespresso coffee, diner coffee, donut shop coffee, and starbucks coffee is different, but I love them all. Kuerig is a step down from those, and my Mr. Coffee home brewed coffee is last place (most bitter with less flavor), but still ok.

I get the feeling you liked this one. 😂😂😂 Maybe you could have added more milk? I've noticed that some of the strong coffees don't seem to get better with milk alone, but the flavor really comes together after adding some sugar as well. Excellent video. 👍

Great review! I have both the Originaline and Vertuoline machines and agree they are for different purposes (I try to explain this to my non-coffee-drinking husband!). I know I can run a "blank" shot of hot water through my Originaline machine to make an Americano (I used to run water through the pod 2x.), but am I able to do that with the Vertuoline? Doesn't that machine need a pod to read in order to function?

Hello and welcome. You could run the pod twice, or next time keep one of your old pods, and very carefully remove the foil on top and coffee and use it as a blank to get water. Or run a cleaning cycle and stop it short. Hope that helps.

I think someone might have asked this before but what do you do with all the cups of coffee you brew after the video? Thanks for the videos and I would love a video for the new flavors they came out with.

Serena C I have a few people in the background while making the videos. They taste and give their opinion after we are done shooting. The bulk of the coffee goes down the sink though. The new flavors videos will start next week. Thanks for the question and thank you for being here.

Enjoy your videos so much. As I’m from Canada we seem to have different capsules than you do. I have a question for you. Before Christmas I purchased the original line machine, being unaware that there was another choice, I guess I should have done my research first. Do you use your original machine anymore now that you have the vertuo machine? Also I find all the capsules I’ve tried from the original taste bitter to me. Is that the norm, or is the vertuo line different? Sorry for the long post.

Alison Seronik hello and welcome!! To answer your first question I still use the original line machine a lot, to the point I am getting ready to upgrade it to a better machine. The two machine are honestly for different purposes, predominantly. The Vertuo was really created to deliver a cup of coffee experience while the original can only do espresso. With that said, I haven’t experienced the bitter you are taking about, some are yes, and that is by design, but most are pretty smooth when mixed or added to make an americano or latte. You can drink them as straight shots but that is what you are getting a “straight shot” and a lot of people don’t like that taste. If you can get it try the Cafeazino Brazil, it’s an amazing shot, or the Hawaiian Kona. Try to stay away from store brands and aftermarket pods as the quality control and taste is just not there. Ah fortado, another favorite of mine! Don’t you think it’s kinda foolish that Nespresso is just rebranding their three flavors? They literally added muffin, custard, and cookie to an already weak flavor lineup.

Is the app case sensitive when searching for words? In your contest video, you listed CREMA in caps but while in this current video you typed it as Crema.

No it actually just pulls for words not case sensitive. I tested it on another video to see if that was the situation and it pulled words that weren’t capitalized and some that were. Another contest hopefully soon, I would love to do this once a month. Thank you for the question and thanks for being part of the channel.

200mg of caffeine in this one 🤯 But yeah this 150ml fortado capsule topped off with 80ml hot milk creates a similar tasting drink to the flat whites I enjoy at coffee shops but in a larger form.

milk and sugar are so unnecessary in this coffee. it tastes good with some hot water added to it and split between 2 people, there is really that much caffeine in it, and it is not bitter which makes it so good black.

ipon70 I think it was the taste. I tried making an americano with it and it was terrible. I’ve been trying to replace the drink I order at Starbucks which is an americano with SF vanilla and light heavy cream.
