Nespresso Recycling Bin Review - Superfluously Purposeful

Nespresso craft a variety of products for their customers. One such accessory is the Nespresso Recycling Bin. A moulded piece of recycled polypropylene used exclusively for storing Nespresso Grand Crus before they can be recycled. Is it useful and worth the purchase?

It feels totally frivolous to be watching and consider buying a bin just for recycling capsules. And yet, here I am watching - and loving this video! I can see this bin helping my life because the shape of it saves space and it's more compact than having the recycling bags sitting under my sink. Also, chucking the capsules into the bin is enormously LESS fussy than opening the the plastic bag. A crucial questions remains in my mind - what about the smell of the used pods inside the bin? Does it do a good job in containing the smell?

Hahaha. I love how much fun you had with this. I appreciate that you reviewed it so that I could get a better look. I've been offered one of two options as I'm buying more capsules. It seems a little unnecessary as I keep my bags in a cupboard but if it's free, why not, right? Two more notes: 1) Nice Halo Infinite figurine @1:10. 2) awesome intro and b-roll! When the bin is full... is the recycling bag also full, i.e., is it ready to be closed and shipped back to Nespresso? Or do you not ship the recycling bag in South Africa? In the USA, the bags have a line showing how high to fill the bag before closing it.

Great question! When the bin is full, technically so is the bag. I’ve found you can add more expended capsules to the bag once taking it out of the bin (bag expands a bit when taken out). However, it isn’t to a large degree. Basically, once full in the bin it can be removed and sent for recycling (we do have a similar system here in SA).
