I am happy to hear I am not the only one that doesn't think the coffee is hot enough. I don't want it burning but when I make a special coffee like Caribou, I brew the Espresso and warm the milk but I have to put it all in the microwave because it is not warm enough. Not warm like when you get it from a coffee shop.

Yes, sometimes for a special type of coffee drink you may need a little hotter coffee and remember the right serving temperature for your coffee is up to your own unique flavor preferences. 👋🏻

The coffee temperature isn’t hot as the Keurig but it doesn’t bother me at all. Checked with the Nespresso company and they said that the coffee must be brewed at these lower temperatures to avoid burning it. The milk frother is great I can't rave enough about this item. It works with everything even non dairy milk and creamer.👍🏻

Are these your instructions or the manufacturers? One video I watched, they heated the water before they put the pod in. So is this your version? (I like warm coffee and not HOT but I was just wondering if this is what is directed in the instructions by Nespresso. Thanks.

This was going by Nespresso instructions. There was definitely no instructions of heating up the water, but some people like there coffee really hot so you will see them heating the water before brewing their coffee, or heating up the coffee cup before brewing coffee into it.

@@RoseBaby I see. It might be nice for those who do want their coffee hot to show how to heat the water using the unit. It doesn't make it piping hot as you have indicated but luke warm coffee doesn't taste good while you sit and sip...it gets cool too quickly. But that's just a suggestion. Thanks RB.

Does the machine “know” which type of pod you are using? In other words, I plan to only use the coffee pods …I am not a fan of espresso and stronger types so I suppose that would be the 7 ounce size? do you have to push a button like you do on a Keurig to get that much water or does the machine automatically know when you put in a pod? Hopefully that makes sense thank you!

Hello Cleigh, There’s only one button on the machine you press it when you put the pod in and the machine reads the pod barcode (each pod has a barcode on the lid) and knows automatically what size to brew.

I would do the double and single for the triple blonde espresso. I wouldn’t recommend you re use any pod because it’s going to give you a watered down coffee.

Yes, you can only use the round capsules with this machine it should say vertuo on the box. The ones look like the k-cup are for the original machine you can’t use them on the vertuo machine.

If you wish to use your own ground coffee, now they sell this stainless steel metal coffee capsule. It works with this machine and a few other models.
