How to save money by reusing your Nespresso Vertuo coffee pods using a quick and simple hack. Dad Stuff explains how to use aluminium foil to seal your own ground coffee into used coffee pods. Still tastes like great coffee.

Picked up our machine for a tenner second hand and then realised it didn't use the older style pods. King forward to trying the hack. Good style video. Great to hear a British voice doing a decent voiceover - i sound all whiny and limey when i try to do KZbin 😂

The silver adapter is to enable you to use an original nespresso pod in the vertuo machine as those pods are cheaper and easier to find.

Just a note to thank you for your excellent video on how to reuse the Nespresso coffee pods. I've tried several other methods, but yours works flawlessly. I saved some 7oz. for Americanos and fuller cups of coffee, and some 2.4oz. for espresso shots. It's pretty easy to prepare, I am going to do the process as a "hobby" and save some money as well as that small thing to do to reduce waste into the environment. Thank you so much for your video. I plan to share it with some friends. All the best to you.

To get a really good cup of coffee, you first need good quality beans, not moldy, not eaten by insects etc, then to be properly roasted, not burnt, and then to be freshly ground just before you start brewing the coffee cup. Then to have an appropriate level of grinding depending on what brewing method you want to use, and then of course you get to prepare it in a suitable way. But if you are not starting from a good quality coffee, from a good source and roast, that you freshly grind before making a cup, you aren't really yet tasting the best cup of coffee. Try it

Why not just warm up the cup in the microwave?

Buy an aeropress :-). Much cheaper and no waste… like aluminum here.

Does anyone have an idea what is the ground to use? I tried the French Roast brick from Aldi's and even though the ground seems larger than the nespresso coffee, it seems to be coming out of the holes around the edge and seems to be way stronger than using the Aldi coffee in my french press. I've done a few cups and noticed some ground at the bottom and even within the foam. I tried another unbutchered pod and noticed slightly less ground within the foam. So I am at the point of trying different coffees, but would like to hear from you all as to whether to get Fine, Super Fine grind. I might even try a coarser ground just to see.

EN (cling film)/(plastic wrap)/(papel filme) is easier and works very well with only one capsule, you need to wrap the entire capsule

Why not just make an ordinary coffee with the coffee you add to the pod, even better for the planet. ;-) Didn't realise Nespresso have these new capsules coded and patented until 2030 hence they are pushing buyers to them as the patent on the orginals has run out.

Don’t mind me asking, why do you have Nesspresso maker if you are not enjoying Nesspresso coffee? Just get your self a regular latte/coffee maker and save all that time for walking that poor dog of yours.

Same reason why you 'd buy a nesspresso machine over a kreig: pressure for espresso-like shots. Other than that, there's not much of a difference
