Hi every body. About queer’s books, religion and "Years and Years". I flew from Madrid to Manchester with my husband to see a the Y&Y concert that they performed november 2018 and on that weekend we met a guy that wrote a book called “queer and catholic”. I recommend to read that book because it is interesting, well wrote and fun. As I’m Spanish and a non religious person I don’t catch the whole meaning of some “Years and Years” songs but still I can see all those references about religion and sexuality in some of them that are disturbing and attractive at the same time. Olly, please, keep on reading, keep on writinng and don’t be affraid of your songs to have such a long and poetic lyrics.

I loved your enthusiasm! It comes from an honest love of reading. I've been a reader for years. For me, it's an escape, a way to decompress. To get out of my own head, so to speak. I just became aware of you late last year, and I love your music. Currently my favorite song is Hallelujah. (I say currently because I've loved them a at one point. And your lyrics speak to me) I would love for you to read "Try" by Ella Frank, she is an author that I love. She writes queer fiction. I would love to discuss the book with you, as no one I know reads queer fiction. (I shouldn't feel ashamed, but I don't feel as though I can admit it to anyone I know) Anywho, I would love it if you would consider reading her. I'll go ahead and warn you that "Try" is book 1 of a series, and they are addictive. She's an amazing author! Hope to write to you soon on the next book club!
