Trini post-partum nurse here in NYC. Tanty is correct with the Vaseline, also just use your hands, and make sure and apply a liberal amount of Vaseline at every pamper change. All the best.

You will appreciate her even more when you start to feel pain. My mom was there for me and I appreciated her. Especially after the birth of your baby. Your mom will show you how to bath the baby. I agree with mom...Vaseline Is a good barrier to repel urine and poo from the skin along with frequent diaper changes. All that fancy butt creme and others will not prevent rashes from occurring. Both my children ( now 23 and 16) NEVER had rashes because of Vaseline and frequent diaper changes, I never allowed soiled diapers to stay on my baby's butts. Have a safe delivery, Congrats to you and Bilal!😊

Also pumping and breastfeeding is very good. Pumping is so dad can bond while feeding the baby and give you a break. First time mom's are hard to tell anything to lol. I know I have 3 and my first one i didn't listen and she's spoiled to this day at 24 and a mom herself. My second and third I welcomed help and didn't overdo as I did with my first baby... Mama is right about vaseline. There is nothing it will not do! Heals dry skin and scars like 1, 2, 3! I wear no make-up, just put vaseline on my face and then wipe it slightly so that there is not a shine.❤
