You should know that Sardar Patel was one of the hardcore opponents of Netaji and he opposed Netaji with all his might. Also Patel was the first person in Congress to readily accept the proposal of partition even before Gandhi Nehru.

Bithalbhai Patel, elder brother of Sardar Patel loved Subhas Bose so much and he gave him his 1 lakh rupees for spending in revolutionary work. But Sardar Patel opposed this and after death of B. Patel, Sardar took Subhas Bose to court and finally never gave him the amount back.

Netaji was a great freedom fighter who lived and died for the nation. His contribution to Freedom struggle can not be perfectly expressed in the words. His approach was different from Gandhi's. Two great men Gandhi and Subhas although having different opinions and approaches fought together with the British and won. Both were international leaders influencing the great leaders of the world.
