The matter of Palestine is the one that divides the countries. Saudi Arabia believes Israel is an occupying power that has no legitimate claim to the land it now occupies. It does recognize facts-on-the-ground, however, and does not, as national policy, seek to eradicate Israel. It does want a just solution for those who claim Palestinian nationality. Both countries share certain views of the world; both are friends of the USA; both identify similar dangers to be found in the region. Foremost among these is a nuclear Iran. This is followed by concern about Iranian power projection within the Middle East region. If push were to come to shove, there's a possibility that they could find themselves cooperating to address a mutual concern, not out of friendship.

I have a feeling you don't know any of the history. Palestine was under Ottomon control from the 15th century to the end of WW1. After that therapies of Nations created the Mandate for Palestine administered by the British. The goal of the mandate was to create a Jewish country. The Palestinians have never had control over Palestine in any time in history. It's not their land historically or legally except Gaza. The only reason Israel didn't have control over the West Bank from 1948-1967 was becaaue Jordan stole it by invading Palestine in 1948. The Palestinians have no claim over any of Palestine except Gaza.

Don’t get it twisted and carried away by how charmingly nice and brilliant these leaders might sound or appear to be, because at the end of the day they only serve their own national agenda and their priority is the advancement and security of their own countries. I mean, not one nation is exempted, every country in the world is responsible for this widespread attitude and approach that we have always had towards each other. But if we truly wanna see change and progress, we have to really begin to deny ourselves and look at how we can better serve each other freely for the greater good of the whole planet and human race, thinking globally but acting locally.
