Good spot! That's Olive, our British short hair basking in the sunshine. It's a good life.

Just a few points. Fits in nicely with your decor isn’t really the case if you’re running extra cables everywhere. What is the USB version on the inside module? Micro/USBC? Did you actually test the inside module with a smaller power adapter and cable?

Nice video and channel. How is the condition of the sensors after 3 years of installing them.. are the materials still in good condition or have they been damaged?

Thank you for your comment and feedback. The whole system is still going strong - the rain and win gauge are exposed to the elements and they continue to work perfectly. We continue to be impressed by the longevity of the accessories and main unit.

Thanks for the review. I could not find the maximum distance between the Weather Station and the Rain Gauge or the Anemometer. Did you find any documentation about this distance? Or did you personally experience a functional limit? Thanks in advance
@MyHomeFarm8 ай бұрын
The distance is regulated by the distance from the base station. We had to move ours into the garage, because glass, windows, doors, walls, etc. had a major adverse effect on the connectivity. Since the base station went into the open garage, it's been very good.

Nice review. Are the wind and rain gauge heavy enough to e.g. sit on top of a wall or would they blow off in a heavy gust and need to be mounted?
@MyHomeFarm2 жыл бұрын
Glad you found the review helpful. To answer your question I’d recommend buying the mounting kits from Netatmo: myhomefarm.co.uk/how-to-mount-the-netatmo-anemometer-and-rain-gauge These really do make the anemometer and rain gauge sit very firmly where you install them. The highest winds we’ve been hit by were 88km/h and there were no problems.

Had the netatmo weather station for years and haven't installed(was a gift). What other app did you suggest to sinc it to(you said the app included accuweather) thanks
@MyHomeFarm Жыл бұрын
I’d connected it to Carrot (it’s an iOS weather app).

thank you. so you have to purchase the wind and rain gauges separately?
@MyHomeFarm2 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome. Yes, the wind and rain gauge are sold as add-ons, but Netatmo do sell a bundle pack: amzn.to/3NpdXEz

Hi. Good review. Im about to buy one of these with the wind sensor. But how to you mount it without the Netarmo mount?
@MyHomeFarm3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. I’ll post some photos for you on our blog this week showing how to mount the wind module using the Netatmo mounting kit.

As promised, here’s how we mounted ours: myhomefarm.co.uk/how-to-mount-the-netatmo-anemometer-and-rain-gauge We made a wood bracket, but we’ve moved to the mounts because they allow you to level the units with a lot more ease.

How accurate and any widgets set up for IOS?
@MyHomeFarm3 жыл бұрын
The temperature, pressure and humidity are very accurate. The rain gauge is also good, but I do question the wind speeds on the anemometer sometimes.

Does this work with HomeKit?
@MyHomeFarm3 жыл бұрын
Great question and the quick answer is that the wind and rain modules are not supported, but the air quality, humidity and temperature sensors are accessible via HomeKit. Hope that helps.

beware, this darn overpriced gizmo wont work on recent huawei (e.g. p30), mean, even on huawei that still have all the google's services ! crap... chances are it won't work on any other china made phone under android 10+. and having 2nd box for inside is a pain in the butt, why they couldn't put any sensors into the base station, it's easier to blow up the price for 2 gizmos ? pfff

I can’t comment on your phones. The system is still working great. I get frustrated when products are only made to work with Android, but that’s tech life.

Fair point. I’ll check out the Technoline product - I’ve not come across it before.
