Is there a way to enable ad block list only on specfic devices? e.g. - Dirty Block on some devices but not other devices but also have regular adblock list enabled on all devices. I looked into the adblock settings, it seems its either enable for all devices or disable for all. Could be this feature is not on the R3 as of yet? Many thanks.

Unfortunately there is not. You can enable/disable individual devices. Unfortunately you can't use just one particular list on one device. The only way I know that would work is using a service like ControlD. Eventually I plan to make a full ControlD breakdown as I've been using it for a couple of years.

That's really unfortunate. I can see its blocking some stuff from twitch , says ads but still getting ads from KZbin. I do already have Google ad blocker extension on for youtube etc but that seems to of stopped working properly since turning on netduma ad blocker. I never used to get ads on YT but now i'm getting 1 ad when i turn on YT. Will play around with it

Great video, but I got lost on the whitelist. I had ro reboot my r3 to get it to save the deny lists. tyvm. advantages of a dream machine pro? seen you are using that as well? I have 1g fiber, lol speeds at 700, 60% cc to combat bufferbloat.

Shouldn't need to whitelist anything. If you find something broken add it to the whitelist. If you find more than a couple of things your block list is too strict and you need to use another one. The udm pro is a great piece of tech but it doesn't do gaming very well. Played with it for about a year trying to get it dialed in. The R3 does better for gaming. I'll have udm Pro videos later in the year. For anyone who has one and doesn't want to invest in an R3.

how is this on par with pihole? also what about streaming services? From my experience with pihole and DNS blocking, is that if you block the wrong DNS entry for lets say hulu. It will brick the streaming service. Does this happen with this? I'm sure it does or at least has some issue.

The lists are curated by netduma doesn't have any issues. All the major streaming services work. If you start adding your own list you could run into trouble but you still have the option to whitelist.

So I have a list of ad blocks that I’ve added, and somehow it populated more than five of the same thing. How do I delete that list? It’s give each one a color. I want to delete the old unused list. I have an xr1000. I realize you’re talking about the r3 . But can you still help me?

You should be able to just click on the list and delete it. If I remember correctly last time I played with the xr500 ad blocker the list colors won't go away until a factory reset but the list can be deleted.

Hey so I think my router either fried or it’s bricked. I was gone a a day the. I come back to the router not having internet not having any of the lights on only the power light on. I tried to reset it but nothing is working. I can’t even access the router interface. What can I do next send it back to get it fixed?

Sorta. With the R3 you can choose the best servers for the game you're playing. Theoretically the lowest ping servers should be the best routed. However outside of doing things on your home network you don't have control of exactly traffic makes it to its destination.

KZbin ads are notoriously hard to block. Just having an ad blocker makes it significant difference in performance. As it not only would block ads but trackers etc.

@0ka354 there are plenty more options out there but the ease of use of the R3 is exceptional. In my opinion it is the best. It easily covers every device on the network. You can turn individual devices off if something isn't acting right. You don't have to learn how to set up an outside service or device.
