I didn't mention this, but I'm actually excited they got renewed for season 2 & 3. The cast seems like a nice group of people and I can see the show getting much better as the actors grow into their characters. Also, where my waterbenders at?

thank you for recognizing the perks of the live action. the animated version has fantastic storytelling. so the whole purpose of the live action was for the visuals and i think they really nailed it. is there room for cleaning up the revised script? yes. but it was more-or-less what i expected from a big Hollywood producer. i have high hopes that they will take the critiques and apply them to future seasons.

Right, I think the criticisms will only make the next seasons better! Definitely excited to see Toph and what other Avatars they'll expand upon because this made me really interested in Kuruk's story.

I watched abd enjoyed it. As you mentioned i think one of rhe biggest stumbling blocks was the lack of world building and character development. Instead of a well paced build up, we got a rushed and condensed story. I am excited to see what they do in season 2&3. Hopefully they find a good groove. If nothing else it got me watching the animated series again
