Ophelia, this aphgan has the stitches I know how to do, the "box" stitch is a combo of a "single" crochet stitch, and, a "double" crochet stitch. It make a fabulous textural feast for the eyes! A great scrap buster project! Doug

That's what, I think, will make it a fun aphgan to create! I think a varigated would be a great color surprise in it! Yes, the glossy black is a must-to seperate each color stripe. Single, double, box, repeat! Glossy black should definitely be for the border to give it the elegant "finished" look. I did not watch this video in full before I started my project, so I completely missed the "leave the yarn tails longer" :( I'm 9 rows in now.. will this affect something significant later?

No sushis7896, it won't hurt, but if you've cut them really short it might be best to knot them for the short ones, just to be safe, the rest will be fine. Anja x
