I like the time lapse in the sense that it shows her commitment and improvement in her physical fighting abilities. Not just like any other shows, it shows it took years for her to become a badass

The time lapse was essential and satisfying to me IMO. The punching bag, haircut, tattoo, graduating from policing, I dig it. And yes, Jiwoo going undercover as a gangster into the police force was to find her dad's killer and she helps Mujin and his drug trade not get busted, so I guess he is ''using her'' but she knows it. The police chief most likely had never seen Jiwoo's face before. He probably came to her door, after her father was killed to see if anybody was home. He may or may not have known he had a daughter. As for her father being known as a wanted fugitive by police, like in the first ep it showed the 2 cops who kept following her around asking where her father was. Those cops work in different departments than the narcotics we see in this ep, so its not likely they knew what she looked like, different departments, yes. I also loved the scene where Mujin slashes Jangae's face, the thunderstorm, lighting, and power boss fear was chef's kiss Thank you for your reactions.

I've been into Korean shows for a couple of years now and I have to tell you... they are addicted to the time lapse. 😂 Every show either comes with a childhood backstop then jumps to present, or ends with a "one year later" episode or had a time lapse somewhere in the middle. Sometimes all three!🤣🤣

Really love the videos. The drug boss (Choi Mujin) actually never implied that he knew he she saw the police chief, He said they found the killer's gun and that it was a police gun ( you know how police guns have like serial numbers on them). So when she joined the police force and found at that the man that came to her door works there she probably put two and two together and assumed it was him

Regarding 'Choi Mu-jin' the drug crime boss comment when he said she was going to have to go through this, I don't think he meant r4pe, because he didn't allow that to happen, I think he probably meant "se*ual harassment". Yes, she still has the same face, but remember it never shows the police chief 'Cha Gi-ho' in Ep1 ever meeting 'Yoon Ji-Woo' when she lost her father, she never went to the door when he knocked, remember there was no family, she was literally alone with not one(1) friend and living alone, no one cared for her except her father. LOL, every time she meets a man are you going to call him "her love interest" because your first guy at the drug crime boss's gym didn't quite work out did it?😆. Without giving too much away, when I watched this I thought man she's tough and relentless. As you touched on it, I thought I'd give a tiny bit of background, the cast did most of their own stunts, if I remember correctly, I think it was 98%. Han So-Hee (actress (birth name Lee So-hee) main character '...Ji-Woo') is not just an actress, but use to be a popular model before turning an actress and also starred in music videos. To get her to her entertainment career she started off by working in bars, retail and restaurants in her hometown of Ulsan saving up for her big move to Seoul and believes this made her who she is now. She was seen as controversial because she use to have tattoos (remnants of which can be seen on her forearms), that and her smoking caused her to be hit with a lot of criticism and hate over it because South Korean culture it gave her a bad girl image. She got the tattoos removed as she became more serious in her acting. For this role in "My Name" she had to gain 20 pounds for the role👍🏾 and yes as you said, trained for months at "action school" to learn martial arts and trained two months longer learning her skills than the other cast members and it certainly shows, she did all her own dangerous stunt scenes turning down doubles and she owned that and as you can see, she mastered it because all the fighting looks realistic.👊🏼

The "Hallway Scene" is a little common in K-movies and dramas after the infamous "Oldboy" hallway scene. You should react to "Oldboy" since it is the one of the K-movies that became popular in Korea and Spike Lee remade it and I believe it also has a hallway scene and it's before "Daredevil." Btw, I'm impressed that you recognized the guy from "Kingdom." I know that some of you watched "Kingdom" and "Train to Busan," but if it's only one of you watched it, you should still do the reaction videos. It's still interesting for the audience to watch and compare the reaction of the first time watcher and the other's reaction.

Time lapse exist bc if she want to become a police detective in drugs department, than she need to go to police university first. which in 2016 she still a highschool teen.then she admitted to police university n graduated in 2020, taking experience in violence department for a year while trying to apply to drugs department. N that's where the story start to resume.
