Vince selling the company might’ve been the best thing for WWE. They got a massive deal for RAW with Netflix $500 Million a year. And another $40 Million for NXT on CW. Smackdown stays on USA for $287 Million a year. Thats just TV revenue. Over $800 Million a year in the bank. That doesn’t include merchandising, the Peacock deal, gate revenue etc. Nick Khan has been doing a fantastic job. HHH in charge of creative. The product is hot. WWE is in a great place overall.

Nick Khan is the head of WWE's business. He's the former of TV at CAA-a big Hollywood agency. Khan has helped make WWE a lot of money. This kind of deal has Khan's DNA all over it Streaming platforms need big time content. WWE is a big get.

The search engine was so much better on the WWE Network. Peacock is a nice platform but now I can't find exact matches and with WWE having the streaming rights to so many independent companies, that tool would be so much appreciated. BTW... Vince McMahon's side project was the XFL. He tried to bring it back and the pandemic forced him to file for bankruptcy. Then the Rock came in and bought it at a discount. I'm a fan of The Rock but why do I get this feeling that he is politicking and has some kind of quiet beef with Vince.

RAW won't be on USA anymore if this is going exclusive to Netflix. They'll show Netflix promotional stuff or WWE promotional stuff in between when the commercials normally would happen. Like Peacock does now with the PLE's and ESPN does with commercials it can't show to everyone that are local.

Yall forgot to mention the peacock deal with wwe ends on march 2026 now if I were Netflix I would try to pursue getting the entire wwe network to Netflix which includes their PPVS INCLUDING WRESTLEMANIA they need to pursue to get that in the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK since the rest of the world will be getting the wwe network also that would make Netflix the king of streaming services especially how big the wwe is

Right now In India we get the wwe Package, all the live shows and archival footage and documentaries on the Sony streaming service for 3.50$ for the whole year. I just hope its part of the netflix package and we dont need to pay extra

My favorite wrestling is All Elite Wrestling. AEW is an alternative to WWE. I watch AEW's "Wednesday Dynamite." It's a 2 hour mental health break with good soap opera. If a wrestler is atttactive? Yes, yes they are. WWE is on a big hot streak right now. HHH is head of WWE Creative and the talent side. WWE has logical storylines and is much better than anything. AEW is doing well and even TNA, who had struggled for years, is back on track. It's a great time to be a wrestling fan

@@kingace34 that’s not the issue, I had the 4K plan which with tax is 23.59 I can downgrade for the two cheaper options sure but this keeps happening, as John mentioned earlier a playoff game was exclusive to peacock & now a tv show of 31 years that’s always been on tv is now gonna be on Netflix, I have just about every streamer there is (almost) & it’s already surpassed the cost of cable, at some point everything’s gonna be exclusive to a streamer, that’s sad

@TheMarine316 things change prices always fluctuate. This is life. So whats the issue? Half of the country doesn't even have cable anymore myself included. I don't miss paying expensive prices for things I don't watch🤷🏾‍♂️. I have had netflix since it first started and there is always something to watch. I don't pay for 4k because it's not needed. Still less than cable. John always complains about netflix like it's his job to complain about them when they are not even the more expensive service.

Great move! I don’t have cable haven’t had it in a decade, I only pay for KZbin TV for football and wrestling nothing else. I normally cancel after football season is over but WWE is the main reason i keep it. Netflix is a staple in almost every home so more casual fans might watch it more because a lot of people don’t have cable to watch or can keep up with what’s going on with the football playoffs going and college football ended they still pull 1.6 million viewers on cable it’s going to explode on Netflix especially worldwide.

One thing I took away from this I don't see anyone else realizing is that now that RAW is on Netflix it opens itself up to being way more mature if they want it to be. I remember months ago some of the people behind the scenes in WWE were saying they were going to be moving more towards a new attitude era again and this could facilitate that completely. I know they brought back wrestlers bleeding more again without blurring it recently but next year with the move to Netflix just how much you think they would push to make it more mature again? Time will tell but this might be one of the main reasons for them doing this. So RAW has more freedom to be more mature of a show with less restrictions on their content for RAW moving forward. Maybe if this goes well they might even move Smackdown to Netflix or something like that eventually.

I was just like you. I stopped in 2011 but I can back this time last year. I’m telling you WWE is an entirely new company. Vince McMahon is gone. There amazing storylines going on right now and WWE was breaking records for weekly viewers in the fall with the Bloodline story. The company is in great hands, I recommend you check it out now it’s road to WrestleMania

You know what this reminds me of, of back in the day when TV mergers first happen. The main networks were competing for cable. When Ted Turner talked about it in his book. Like ABC and Disney, Time and Warner Bros, TBS/TNT and AOL (even though this was a disaster). I can't remember the other ones. I would like to know which streaming platform is going to get boxing and UFC?This is going to be interesting moving concerning entertainment and media, especially with the news.

The NFL has had games exclusively on Prime before. What they haven't ever had was a postseason game on streaming only till this season. This is also a way for Netflix to carry The Rock's UFL Football in 2025 and is a doorway to them getting college sports from different conferences. The Rock is on the board now....
