The exposure from this documentary might lead to full-time positions for some of these women. The situation is complex. The precarious nature of their positions-where they can be dropped at any moment-makes it far from a stable full-time job. Despite this, they undoubtedly deserve better compensation. Their work isn’t comparable to a job at McDonald’s; they’re essentially juggling two jobs. Considering their youth, perhaps paying them well during their tenure with the team and allowing for career breaks from their day jobs if they’re later dropped would strike a fair balance. The gender disparity in pay is also concerning; the male counterparts on the football team earn significantly more. As a man, I couldn't do what these women do. They are amazing.
@staceyl.thienel14995 ай бұрын
They are substantially under-paid compared to football players. However, it's not a requirement to be on the team, let alone audition. Many have FT jobs, live on savings and assistance from family.

The only reason the cheerleaders are not demanding more pay is because the structures keep them small. If you speak up, you're out. Victoria was the saddest for me and how she was treated there. She for sure is a leader because she speaks to so many women including myself. They couldn’t see her potential. She bloomed like a flower outside that place. I’m glad she got out of that toxic environment where she was not supported or seen. Also, Jerry Jones and his family should be ashamed of themselves. Their daughter especially, Charlotte Jones who does not support women’s rights. If they did they would pay these DCC like the stars and athletes they are who support “their” team! Do people not come out to see DCC? Absolutely, they do as they come to see the football players. They are one of a team. They pay Dak Prescott (Dallas football player) $55,000,000 and he averages $60 million a year. Yet, they pay their DCC girls minimum wage. Anyone, else see an issue with this? Are we in the stone ages. Jerry Jones and his family are multi-billionaires. They’ve conditioned these girls to feel like it’s a privilege to be there and to get paid scraps. When they work their as__s off! Then Jerry Jones has the nerve to say his best moment was when Beyoncé performed. Bet, they accommodated Beyoncé and paid her real good to be there. When they cannot even pay their own DCC girls. They’ll answer to God someday. Greed! They literally exposed themselves on camera to the world of what kind of people they truly are. Couldn’t even pay a 37th cheerleader. Heartless.

She and Wil did get married, earlier this year... Very weird situation there. Clearly she's very religious, which is fine, but there's something else going on there. Lack of maturity? Don't know, but something's off with her. He seems like a nice guy, but clearly knows he's marrying way up the ladder. Victoria though... I felt really sorry for her. Definitely has stuff to work through, I hope she gets the help she needs and finds peace. I think her mom royally screwed her up.

@@WHJeffBShe is super immature and creepy with all the religious stuff. She has never had a boyfriend before this guy and interestingly before they even showed him when she said she was engaged I already knew what he would look like and act like and once they showed him I was right.
@WHJeffB5 ай бұрын
@@FreshSpecimens Yeah, it's clear she had a very sheltered religious upbringing. When you say you know what he'd look/act like, what do you mean? Like I said, it looks like the guy KNOWS he married way up the ladder (I'm not going to engage in personal attacks here, but...). He's going to spend his whole life "looking over his shoulder" for the handsome, probably equally religious guy to sweep in and take her away. As pretty as she is, I would've lasted about 2 dates with a girl like that... Would be like dating a 10yr old.

I really like these cheerleading thing, in my country we don’t have this on schools or colleges, like anywhere in general. It’s fascinating.

I use to adore or fascinated by cheerleading when I watch hellcats and bring it on. Now not so. I’m from Asia. And then I thought watching this can bring back some fond memories of those movies, but this documentary is so horrible to watch! Exploiting these young girls making them work so hard and then suffer from health issues later while getting paid peanuts. And those Karen-like management is also horrendous, shaming women, and kicking them off the team like it’s so gleeful to do. I could have sworn their faces somehow enjoyed that. Sick old women.

PAY.THEM.WHAT.THEY.ARE.WORTH!! Damn! All that dedication and hard work and you're paying them a minimum wage?? Just a GROSS management and company gaslighting these talented and dedicated women by telling them "It's a privilege" to get them to work for PEANUTS. Shame on you DC Owners and Management!

For those generally into these kinds of Docs…. Just watched one on Peacock that was massively entertaining. I’m not even a pro sports viewer. But I find these docs addicting. Especially those that do somewhat of a Deep Dive into a specific season, infamous moment, general league history, or Team/Athlete bio, etc. I recommend y’all check out Peacock’s 3 parter on the 1990’s NY Yankees, one of their worst seasons ever. Tons of fun stuff there . Bronx Zoo '90: Crime, Chaos, and Baseball

They make these girls think that they don't need them and that is a privileged to be their cheerleaders but it's the other way around they are the one that need the chearleaders .

After watching the first episodes and repeatedly hearing the term “world-famous”, I’m genuinely curious if there really is a fan base outside of the US for these cheerleaders. I know there are some American football fans in Europe, but I’ve never come across cheerleading fans outside the US…

I’m like 20 minutes in and stopped watching because it pissed me off. Disgusting. How about they ask the football players to play for the love of the game with no compensation. Obviously I’m not saying they need to be paid millions like the men, but they should be paid more than a chic fil a worker.
@Liverpoolboy015 ай бұрын
Absolutely, the personal financial cost to them also, is disgusting. Also it's not as if they cannot afford to pay them a decent amount. Used and abused

I’m a diehard Cowboys fan, but after reading articles about how these extremely hard working women are being treated, exploited, very low pay, and no benefits at all. Screw Dallas and the NFL. I’m changing my username!
@AmanSS8905 ай бұрын
Truthfully there is so much pressure for these girls to look a certain way to And the fact they go through all of that and they don’t get paid enough is crazy . Like what gives .. it’s crazy how much effort and dedication they put themselves to. I understand you have to look and your body has to be a certain way but wow this is the reason lots of girls feel awful about there bodies . And this is way they have eating disorders
