I don't care about gay. At least when it comes to male sex scenes, I don't gotta worry about private parts randomly flying into my face while I'm watching it. Cuz male nudity is so demonized. But honestly, I do wish they'd stop turning every show into a pseudo-porn.. Love is devotion, love is commonality, like-minded individuals with shared interests. Love is NOT good looking person A sees good looking person B, and 2-4 days/hrs later they're screwing. That's called a fling, a tinder/grindyr date, or unpaid prostitution. What we see in most modern TV should NOT be called 'Love' or 'Romance. It's nothing more than a further attempt by the media to divide the people.

But to add further clarification, most people these days don't care if there's gay people on tv unless they're insecure about their own sexuality. That said, hijacking an entire show to make the narrative revolve around identity politics is one trope that's gotten especially annoying as of late. Cuz A: it's typically just corporations, the same ones responsible for most societal fuckery, virtue signaling to either gain more viewers from that community, or to troll the opposing demographic into posting videos about the rage bait, ironically, driving up viewership from that democratic who want to see what all the hype is about. Point B: People watch tv to be entertained, not to be preached to. I think it's fine to have gay people in tv, even in tv for not-adults, that's fine. I wish they'd done it since I was young. Cuz love is love, and it should be based on internal connection and not just on what's on the outside. But the only caveat is that it should not take away from the entertainment factor. I don't need to see two people screwing every 5 minutes.. give it a rest with the sex scenes and the looks-based propaganda.. like, two people can only fall in love if they're both equally as good looking.. most people look different, so that's just dumb. And no one deserves to be alone when it's by no choice of their own.

I enjoyed this. Good entertainment has been somewhat sparse of late. There was the odd bit that seemed a bit implausible but not far-fetched. No 90lbs women beating 400lb men, no outlandish fight scenes, diversity without it seeming forced (although I'm sure there was most definitely a checklist), easy to follow and well paced. All in all, it's a good watch, well acted and written, I very much hope there is a second season.

I did read recently that yes, it's been green-lit for a 2nd season. I won't be watching it, though, as I respectfully disagree with you. As I watched the episodes, I found myself not really caring as to who the bad people were going to be. One thing that really annoyed me no-end was the use of so many bloody flashbacks. Of course at the end they had to do the flashbacks so we can see what actually took place. If those had been the only flashbacks, no problem. I am looking forward to season 3 of THE DIPLOMAT and season 2 for THE RECRUIT and THE NIGHT AGENT.

@bikeny @bikeny I did notice the excessive use of flashbacks, but it didn't detract my attention, though I do appreciate that it may have seemed convoluted or unnecessary. I'm glad there will be a season two, though, so thanks for that. I tried the recruit but don't remember finishing it, so it couldn't have piqued my interest. We are all different, with different tastes. I haven't watched the Night Agent. I have no idea why because I've heard of it, not heard of the Diplomat though, I'll have to give them both a try. Have you tried Cross? I thought that was good, little predictable, but worth a watch for sure.

@@anthonyellison4737 Well, it's true, different strokes for different folks. I tried to find 'CROSS' on netflix but it doesn't have it. I have not heard of it. As for The Diplomat, Season 3 is coming next month and The Night Agent's season 2 is also coming next month. I won't promise that you are going to like them both (remember, I liked The Recruit), but I do recall actually watching more than 1 episode of the other 2 at a time. I only did that with black doves with the final 2 since I wanted to finish it. Diplomat takes place in England, and it's Keri Russell who is the title character.

I watched this in one breath! Everything was so perfect. From beautiful London and locations to amazing cast! Script is so intese and intriguing, there is no bored moment in the entire series.
