One of my favourite casts in any series of all time, especially the OGs. You can tell they have so much chemistry on set with one another, and it’s so heartwarming. They are what made this show so amazing to watch and follow for many seasons! I miss all of them already! ❤️😢

the problem came in season 4, where these side characters that took so long to be a whole and solid part of the show got thrown out of the moordale secondary bubble. ola, jakob, lily, rahim, olivia, anwar, ruthie, steve, florence, dex, just to name a few, suddenly dissapearing in the very last season was a shock. all these characters that were a vital part of the sex educaiton eco-system suddenly dissapeared, making the season feel jarring and lacking. on top of that, they added a huge amount of new characters, which would have been fine, if it wasn't for the show being on it's very last season. that meant that a lot of the old side character's stories were left unfinished, while the huge block of new characters that were added in didn't have enough time to be fully developed. they were nice, these new characters, but they didn't have time to be what those old charcters already had been. on top of that, we now had 4 seperate worlds the season had to juggle with: canverndish, america (meave), the farm (adam), and the "adult's world" (jean + groff family). what used to be a "teen world & adult world" story became more split up and a bit complicated, which, again, cold have been managable if it wasn't for the fact that it was the last season. Adam barely interacted with the rest of the cast, so his story felt a bit left behind. i'd even say his story would have been omitted if it wasn't for the fact that he was a well-received character by the audience, and if he didn't have a connection with Mr Groff. because if they could include adam's story, why not ola's? i think instead of bombarding the very last season, which is supposed to tie up all lose ends and complete the story, with new characters, they should have kept the old charcaters and add in just a few new ones to spice things up. to have the characters less scatered around would have helped too. i, as a watcher, would have loved to see adam and rahim's friendship grow, something they teased at the end of season 3 but never touched on. i feel like the show could have touched up on things like that. again, i love the new characters, but for it being the last season, it did feel like too much of a change that didn't get enough time it needed for it's story to be told.

ruthie, florence and dex were very minor characters and not part of the overall storyline, but I agree with some of the others. jakob and ola moved away, which makes sense, but the show could have explored lily's story outside of ola, as she was an important character before ola was even on the show. we didn't really know steve outside of his relationship with aimee, and i think that it was important that she remained single for a while, but it was a shame as he was a nice character. same with rahim. getting rid of olivia and anwar put ruby into a new situation as we saw how she coped without having sidekicks, which was interesting but i still think the show could have done more with ruby.

This is very true. I think they have their hands tight since most of the actors can barely attend making this season. I think they just rounded out everyone that could come and shit out a semblance of a plot to finish off the series. The whole thing just screams rushed to me. It's really disappointing to see a show with a big reputation on story-telling be lacking in the story department for its final season :/

Only thing being Ruby’s character development wouldn’t have been the same if she still had her two best friends in season four. I found her struggle to make new friends and connect with the ‘popular’ group like Eric could was something people could relate to. It showed the true struggle of friendships coming and going. Sometimes you really want to join a group and it just doesn’t click. Sometimes people you wanted to stay besties with outgrow you or you fall out of contact. I found it relatable and humanising for her character. Seeing her struggles with friendship, being bullied, losing her Mum and her genuine compassion towards Maeve altogether made her more personable and indicated that she had a big heart and had gone through alot of pain. She was more real and likeable than in the first few seasons.

I don't think they hit low points. All the relationships with their parents got somehow fixed because that was the main problems of the characters. The only thing that would be good, is a post ending showing how their life continues with all being friends

I loved this season but I'm devastated we didn't get to see Jacob. We deserved to see him deal with the fact that the baby is not his, he was an interesting character too ! So sad they just completely put him aside as if he disapeared, I really thought he would still try and help Jean, as he told Otis he wouldn't go anywhere he seemed to consider them family. Really disappointed we didn't get to see his reaction the end of his relationship with Jean, il could have been just one scene of them two talking !
