kimchi is korean but that doesn't mean gay stuff is common in korea. like remember when that korean comedian came out as gay five years ago and his career ended? and they had to use a straight cis male actor to play hyunju a trans woman character, because the director wanted a trans actress but didn't want to endanger the life and career of any trans actress so they wouldn't out themselves and be cancelled in korea. Korea films bl dramas but actively frowns down on actual openly lgbtq people. I think Bibi is one of the very few openly bi singers/actresses in korea with success. There are drag queens in korea but most korean people even young people don't know about them, it's a really small very niche community.

@ okay so i’ll break it down for you! first and foremost it’s a joke haha but the joke works because we’re being presented with a female character. similar to back in the shakespeare days when women weren’t allowed to act, you wouldn’t call juliet “he” just because the character is being played by a man. if a man is a drag queen presenting us with a female character, you use she. that’s why drag queens often have drag names. it’s because they’re playing a character for performance and/or art. basically it’s a layered joke, but in all honesty it really is not that deep. female character -> jokes about the female character -> feminine terms being used to describe/identify the female character. but just for the record, i myself am a woman and i can assure you that i am in no way offended by others (or myself) calling trixie, or any drag queen for that matter, a woman, when that is the character that we have been introduced to. i hope this made sense for you!

Player 120 being entirely excluded from this video is shameful. In the past, the producers have made a point to show T&K reacting to even minor queer characters/plotlines, but here, the only LGBT character does not appear once.
