I love how in season 5 Daniel had the support of his bullies from the first three movies as allies. Thomas Ian Griffith brought back the crazy energy of his character so well in season 5, it was great seeing how threatening he could be on his own and using him as a vehicle to introduce the sekai taikai tournament was brilliant. Given that Silver was brought down by season’s end and with Kreese breaking out of prison but seemingly with gangland contacts. The writers have sown the seeds for some wild stuff to go down in season 6

Just one takes place back in the 80’s and is a sci-fi drama adventure, while the other is a martial arts drama comedy set in modern day San Fernando Valley.

I love that the kids got their time, but the adults really got to shine this season. I love Johnny completing his journey to dadhood, I love all the old rivals coming together around the main conflict, and most of all I love that Daniel got his best character scenes yet! Putting him in places we've never seen before, showing us in the most thorough way how his past has shaped him, and letting him move past his fear and trauma and grow until by the end, he is the closest to Mr. Miyagi we've ever seen him. Balanced. Honestly, words cannot express how much this show, especially this season mean to me. These writers are amazing and I have loved every second of it! Cannot wait for the soundtrack, and to see what happens in Season 6!

As a person who enjoyed the first karate kid, I am beyond thrilled to see the original actors again doing what they do best, to see them 30 years later we are all 30 years older and to see how awesome everyone has turned out is such a breath of fresh air! To see Ralph and Billy go from being mortal enemies to become such good friends in season five was brilliant... the writers are beyond amazing. With the end of each season so many of us hope and pray that there will be another season, or for me personally many more seasons ❤❤❤ Keep em coming 👏👏👏

I want more logical but yet believable drama between the characters of Robby, Miguel, Sam and Tory but with rational explanations like for example: Miguel still is getting the best grades up and throughout the remainder of his senior year but due to his commitment and loyalty to Cobra Kai and now eagle fang and miyagi doe he's got a potential scholarship that's being taken away from him do to his decline in his grades. I'd love to see them all under pressure to past their SAT's as they decide on wether they're gonna go to college and more importantly wether or not they will go away to college. The decline in Miguel's grades do to his commitment to Johnny and Eagle fang has effected his grades a bit and caused a wedge between he and Johnny. Johnny feels bad about it. Daniel and Amanda feel bad as well and they decide to pay for Miguel's scholarship in full to the college that he'd originally told Daniel he wanted to go to in the second season. Everyone is excited except Sam whom feels sad and upset because if Miguel takes Daniel up on his scholarship then he will have to go away to school. It was always Miguel's dream and he wants to go but he loves Sam as well so he is heavily conflicted. Silver finds out about this and he promotes to the public that anyone he joins one of his chains of Cobra Kai dojos and commits to a 3 to 4 year training regiment will be granted a full scholarship paid to any college of their choosing at the end of their senior year. This brings the valley highschool children back to Cobra Kai as most of their grades have plummeted do to everyone rushing straight after school to karate practice and no one really making time to do their homework except for Demetrius whom has a full scholarship naturally granted by doing the work in school. This drives another interesting wedge between he and Miguel of a little jealousy as Miguel feels one upped by Demetrius who doesn't know that him just talking openly and excited about his scholarship makes Miguel feel like a failure as he sadly leaves the room. Roby comforts Sam as she ask him about college and he explains that he never thought that he could actually go to college because of his poverty up bringing. He and Sam accidentally lock eyes and kiss. Sam stops him and ask about Tory.

@@lturner7159 I think that's a very interesting concept but I think that cobra kai is about karate and the rivalries so I think yeah the school aspect is important I also think that if they add a little bit more schooling in there mixed with some more fighting I think it would be cool but me personally I just want to see Robbie and Miguel and Tori and Sam not necessarily become friends but like become closer than what they were and still have like that healthy competition while working together maybe if they added a new like bad guy into the mix I think that would be cool too. Not saying what you wrote was bad because what you wrote was very interesting I just have a very shortened attention span so it didn't really hold my attention I kind of got lost towards the end but overall it was pretty good concept. 👌

Danny LaRusso is one of those people where his way is the only right way, the same as Johnny, they are very alike like that but with Daniel here's a lot of pride in him and although you want that pride knocked out of him, it's when you see those eyes, those big eyes that he's hurt or upset, that gets me every time, but he's very easy to wind up, especially in the first couple of seasons and I loved that smirk from Johnny, that side smirk knowing he'd got to him - I just loved to see the smirk that in fact Johnny's way was way better. Johnny just made Cobra Kai more fun and exciting and into a more healthier competition like as he said he drew a rocket on Danny's billboard and it was fun to watch every thing play out and because Johnny knew what Cobra Kai was really like back in the day he kept it clean with those students until other sensors came along but watching Cobra Kai then I knew I wanted to be a part of that group and rooting for them. Daniel did become more centred the more he practiced Miyahi-do and much less easily provoked and even when he met Terry he knew not to strike first, as he says, you can't strike first with this guy and I loved the place of inner wisdom and strength he had to stand across from him at the shop (because I'm all about inner strength myself because you can't control other people but you can control yourself and emotions and reactions) but of course Terry got into his head because Terry's a master manipulator and decided to get Danny to act out in public. What I'd love for Danny to do with this guy which is what I've watched among a lot of Narcissistic channels plan for the worst because when Danny gets some hope something could work and grows confident when it doesn't go to plan he's easily defeated. He needs to try and have more than one strategy up his sleeve - the best way of figuring things out is having a plan B and C and even D. I wanted him to go to that prison to talk to Kreese because that would be something I'd do - Terry's put him behind bars so I wished he'd have gone through with it instead of finding Stingray, someone who's completely under Terry's control

And Chozen was perfect our super charismatic character I loved him and man he has to be in 6 temp. I read the newspaper article about Kreese's prison sentence, and he was only sentenced for two years.. I think that impacted my thinking on his storyline, and might not have been intended. For example, when Daniel revealed his deceptive note (not very honourable Daniel San!), I couldn't help but think, "that's gonna bite you in the ass when he's out in two years". Or breaking out of prison seemed unneccessary when he was probably a good halfway through his sentence at that stage...
