Also, when Kreese broke Johnny’s second place trophy and told him he is off the team. That was foreshadowing of how his life was going to turn out. And that Miyagi came to his defense but showed mercy for Kreese.

Karate Kid is one of the best movies ever created. Such a masterpiece that reached the hearts of so many people back in the 80s all the way up until this day in 2024. I still cant believe that all these years later, they were able to locate all of the oriignal actors and do a remake series on Netflix that brings it all back to life. These guys on stage need to know that their characters meant a lot to many people. Truly. I spent alot of time in my childhood watching the original film. It still doesnt get old. The Netflix series opened up great. I was so excited to watch it. It was greatly written just like the movies. But the Netflix series doesnt compare to the real thing.

It's the best time to end the series. Cobra Kai is mega but it has to end at some point. We've completed the Karate Kid universe, only missing what Cobra Kai left open at the end. But that doesn't mean that there might not be a Cobra Kai Next Generation

That's because they were spread out on the stage, and we "moved" them closer in post so you could see them more clearly. Otherwise, they would appear much smaller in the video.

Is Cobra Kai, and Miyagi Do the same karate? Miyagi’s father taught Mr. Miyagi, and Sato. Sato taught Chozen. Chozen taught Miyagi Do to American soldiers in their dojo in Okinawa. Captain Turner taught Kreese and Silver in Vietnam which they decided to call Cobra Kai. Where did Turner learn martial arts…… could it have been at THAT dojo in Okinawa. It is clearly shown in 1985 that Sato had been teaching karate in Okinawa for 40 years on a billboard at the airport when Daniel, and Mr. Miyagi arrive, which would play right into Captain Turner's timeline in Vietnam 😦.

The thing they don't say is Daniel and Johnny could have been each other, their lives and personality are interchangeable if Daniel found Kreese and Hohnny found Miyagi first

Doubt it. Even witout Mr. Miyagi in the picture, Daniel was still a decent, hard-working guy. Sure, he could be hot-headed at times, but he made friends easily and was nice and polite to others. And he respected the fact that his mother worked hard for him enough not to deliberately go around breaking rules. Add to that that he often took initiative (like starting a business for Mr. Miyagi), I'd argue that he'd have ended up pretty successful regardless Mr. Miyagi. Unlike Johnny, I'd add. I know we are supposed to feel sorry for Johnny for being so hard up, but he didn't end up there because of some lost tournament or a lost girlfriend. He ended up there because of his sense of entitlement. Johnny had a lot more advantages over someone like Daniel. His step-father might not have loved him, but he was clearly willing to pay for his education and bail him out of trouble whenever needed. But Johnny still ended up squandering those opportunities and the reason behind that is present now as well. It's a pattern of behavior with him - every time things don't go his way, he either ends up quitting or reacting poorly that he ends up fired. That's not completely due to Kreese, it's more about entitlement. More specifically, it's about Johnny's inability to adjust and compromise - and that attitude itself is likely to lead to failure.

I liked the Karate Kid alot! The first film was the best, the second one was god awful. The third one was ok but not great though I kind of liked it. I liked the fourth one though it lacks the magic of the first one. I saw the fifth one-a reboot-though I don't recall the plot-I saw it ages ago. I like the tv series.
