So i have a bit of an issue with the second hand switch i just bought, perhaps someone can help... Basically i have bought a netgear 16 port gigabit GS116 switch and this is plugged into 1 of the 4 ethernet ports on my bt home hub 6 modem/router. if i plug my laptop into any one of the remaining 15 ports on the switch i can connect to the internet no problem. This is also true for my home cctv system and both will work simultaneously too. However when i try to add my PC or PS4 to the switch, or for that matter if i try to plug them into any of the 15 ports on the switch, it doesn't establish a connection. Any Ideas folks...

This switch is made ​​to be installed in a rack cabinet. Look at the holes to install a rackmount on the side. There will normally be a form of airflow.

This is going to be great! Unbox the rack, patch panel, & IT tools! Select a couple servers, a rack modem and VLAN the switch and do mirror porting for monitoring packets. Show us how to make variable length patch cables so that everything looks pretty. And don't forget a KVM switch!

This is for multiple desktops. Wireless is like 1/20th the speed of cable. And cable is more reliable too. This can be used to mass storage, which with a cable is safer than wireless where someone could just hack into it if they really wanted. Wireless tends to be finiky as well.

I know its unrelated to this video but id like to know if a T-virus (Triple, not the double) with darkgreen, UV green, darkgreen. would look nice for a color scheme of black/green, im going with the G1 sniper3 because personally i think its the only non-red MB that looks good and has a second color (full black is also nice) since its green, i thought that as a full color scheme would look great

Switches are for LAN connections only. Routers with extra ports for anything but the modem are technically wireless routers with a switch.

difference is that you can change the settings on each imdeviduial port in a "smart" switch, were a "stupid" switch, will just duplicate the port that it were given from the internett connection
