We try hard to get the information across first which is the most important. We have just begun making these videos and yes we do make errors and things do slip through the cracks. With that being said we are not at a point where we can purchase any and all kinds of content leaving us at the mercy of what we can afford for the time being. The videos get better and more to the point with pics and clips pertaining 100% to the actual information it is sharing. Thank you for letting us know and we appreciate your feedback.

If you do as suggested jump on the ic direct to Rotterdam you will need to tap the toeslag machine as it cost more money, or not bother and use a normal intercity service and see more.

Ok Great. Thank you for sharing that information. This is what we are trying to accomplish...sharing the information to make it easier for everyone in this community.

Feels like an AI written comment - repetitive texts, imagery that probably is found on the internet and sort of overdone praise of the transportation system that - of course - has it's hick-ups... We Dutch are more down to earth and don't mind reality checks...

Hello and thank you for your comment. I am not A (Artificial!) and not very I (Intelligent!) but this is my honest opinion. We live in Montreal, Canada and were really amazed at the transit system. Our transit system does not function in the same way and I would say that within the city it works fine but that's where it ends! You cannot reach another main city by just transferring to some other means. Here you'll have to book a train a bus or a plane! And yes just like anything else...it does have hiccups but nothing that took us to the wrong place. Some were a little late...that was it. And as far as the Dutch being down to earth... I agree 100%! Amazing people and I'm not just saying it. I mean it. We felt it. I can't wait to be back. We were there in 2017...time flies!

@@frankorgianfranco Hi! There is an overwhelming bulk of informational videos screaming for attention of the public, taking over the KZbin landscape (and mostly trying to make money), but offering relatively no new insights. I appreciate your answer and work on the KZbin video, but I suggest you have a look at the extended news features and videos on the subject first and then come up with solid unbiassed info (good or bad). The Netherlands has its problems too, we are not perfect, but are willing to listen to any constructive input and appreciate anyone that makes an effort to contribute to our society.

Well said. And this coming from someone on the outside..., We think that the Netherlands is for us anyways...one of the top countries with a transit system that is extremely useful to both the everyday traveller going to work and anyone that wants to visit the country without the big ticket price. We understand that the Netherlands has its problems too. We honestly beleive that every other country is taking an example from your transit system for Netherlands has been doing it way longer and way better. We are in the beginning phases of our journey and appreciate all constructive criticism that will help make us better. Thank you for your input.

does the ov card cover the trains across the country?

The OV-chipkaart To use public transport in the Netherlands you need an OV-chipkaart: a small card that looks like a credit card that can be used to travel by bus, train, metro, OV-fiets (public transport bike) and even ferry.

The best way to get from Netherlands to Brussels is to train which takes 1h 53m and costs €55 - €110. Alternatively, you can bus, which costs €18 - €28 and takes 3h 42m, you could also fly, which costs €65 - €210 and takes 2h 15m. This information was provided by Google at the time of this search. Thank you for the question and this is exactly what type of community we would like to build. Where everyone can share some knowledge. We will try our best to provide information on travelling Europe on our future videos. Stay tuned!!!!

Hello, I am not A(artificial) Nor too I(Intelligent) but this was really my experience. We live in Montreal Canada and although there are buses and trains that can take you to other cities...they are not inter-connected. They are all individual entities that work on their own meaning you have to figure out your way on your own and will not be able to visit a whole country in the same manner. The fact that we were able to visit all the places we wanted too without a car and with great eez was fantastic. Keep in mind we are not from the Netherlands, we are tourists going into the unknown. And with that being said, I invite everyone to go visit this most beautiful country where even the countryside is scenic like a postcard and the people are amazing!

@@frankorgianfranco What you say makes no sense, you are surprised that public transport was connected? That is the whole idea of public transport, being able to go anywhere without a car. You really should be surprised about your own public transport that doesn't bring you to places where you want to go. That doesn't sound like a very useful public transport network.

I agree it looks like the transit system isn't efficient here! And your right! Although they started in the past years installing screens and cameras in the buses too like they had in the subways. But the thing to know is about the country and this is why we don't have a system where everything interconnects. It's the size of the country. Canada is about 240 times the size of the Netherlands so it is spread apart as opposed to most of Europe which is condensed. The country has 10 provinces and is so spread apart that we have 6 time zones here! That may explain it!

@@frankorgianfranco You are right - it is a matter of scale and opportunity. The huge dimensions of your country require a pragmatic approach which up till now favors the individualistic attempts by car and separate entities (companies) to provide a transport service that covers a limited area (although still big in your country). I'm not sure how eager the Canadian government is to 'unite' the services as the transport model is clearly geared towards profit in stead of providing a necessary social service. Dutch transport systems are also comprised of a number of participants sharing the rail system and roads but all at a way smaller scale.
