A lot of good skill and physical ability in the team. But observing vs Poland it did not feel like they were really combining that well and certainly seeing the game out were really poor controlling possession of the ball, seemingly kicking the ball randomly which is exactly the kind of thing to invite the opposition to equalize! Different level below compared to Germany and Spain who looked a cut above. Perhaps that is the midfield weakness mentioned? As you say they have enough good players: Maybe they can grow into the tournament and their strikers can become more clinical? But on first game not yet.

Ian Matsen, such a weird case for us Chelsea fans. Out from our academy, did great for Kompany’s Burnley and did incredible for Dortmund. Not sure why Chelsea clearly don’t rate him hence being adamant to sell. I understand pure profit but we’re also looking to buy a new LB. Kid looks great, we obv need him and when he was here he played winger 😑 Hope he does well and balls out for Netherlands. I also support Milan so watching a black Dutch man do good puts a smile to my face.

I think it is his physicality against epl is the biggest disadvantage as a defender. Also, his defensive discipline is not high.

Spot on… it’s the physicality/height in the epl with a team already struggling for physicality and aerial superiority. I’d take him over Chillwell but it’s unlikely we can offload him.

@@HIM3153 he played in the Championship. Not the Prem but no slouch of a league especially on the physical side. The Bundesliga is notorious for being physical, he’s doing phenomenal for Dortmund there. Chilly and Cucu aren’t the most physical LB’s, if they can manage, Maatsen can too. Could be his defending ability though, not sure, but what else could it be? Maatsen was inverting for Dort. doing great in the CL too. Offers some tactical versatility. Odd case.

You forget about Zirkzee and Brobbey. Two very talented strikers, that can do some damage. And i think you underestimate players like Veerman which had a great season and has a great pass to reach Depay, Frimpong, Malen, Gakpo, etc.

I think your analysis is spot on. Personally i'm more afraid of the midfield falling short. The Veerman and Schouten partnership works at a Dutch Eredivisie level, but im not sure they'll handle the pace of play of the top teams. Ps. as a Dutchie I would've appreciated if you did more research in how to pronounce names. For some like i think you meant Stefan de Vrij, I could really not even understand who you were talking about.

I like the section with the little face cam on the left , works very well. He is clearly trying new exiting things for the Euros, so he can land a style that includes both face cam and stats and video footage. ..Plus showing his face can land a sponsor or two , so it's pretty important:) Will help improve the content as well in the long term:) I say let's let him play with the format a bit, it will help the channel in many ways:)

To be honest VVD is overrated, but this season is the season where he is the most overrated defender . He was a 2,3 seasons wonder. I don't understand why people compare him to Maldini and Sergio Ramos who were the most consistant defenders of all time. But this season he played great for while, but he fell with the hole Liverpool squad in the end of the season.but saying that he is the best in the world is wrong considering that Rudiger have been performing better than him on the european stage and Rudiger have been more consistant in the league games.

You support Real Madrid yes? Bias is probably coming into play here. VVD got a year long injury and it did affect him, but this season he was easily one of the worlds best defenders and consistently brilliant for Liverpool, he was a key reason they were in with a shout of the title in the first place, maybe the rest of the team fell off but not him
