every team plays the best style of football that suits them. Spain plays more direct and England plays more conservative. the better team is defined by result of the match. if one team plays back passes in their back half pitch for 89 mins and wins it with only one attacking action, that is how they play and should be respected. in 1982 Brazil played very entertaining football and lost to the no guts Italians. But the trophy told the whole story. I agree with DeChamps says : watch something else if u feel it is boring.

I have seen games where a team got like 10 great chances, 70% possession, looking superior for the entire game and still lose or draw. At the end of the day the art of defence is not to prevent chances, but to make the chances the other team gets as hard as possible and with a bit of luck you can always win.
