I love fly tying, but I don't need to be so particular with colors and proportions. There aren't any wild trout streams in my area, so I usually fish for panfish and small bass on the fly. They'll hit just about anything, so I fish lots of small streamers and foam terrestrials. I still love the art of fly tying, and I can appreciate how closely some of the flies mimic the natural flies in the environment.
