I was only cold on the transfer sections, but … I did briefly wonder if I was going to freeze to death?

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 yeah. The transfer after gas was a killer for me. Couldn’t feel by hands.

Way to fight the good fight, I bet riding in these challenging winter conditions will pay huge dividends come summer.

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 Do you wear more or less body armor when you race?

Always the same - all of it. Knees, arms, chest/back, kidney belt. All from Leatt.

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 Woohoo you make me feel smart! I went with the Leatt 6.5 all-in-one upper body protection, and Asterisk for the knee braces. ATGAT is my creedo too - you're tempting fate to have it and not use it.

Even after all the reading about the time structure of enduros, I STOLL do not know anything about the classes, rows, "timing out", etc. Do you have a link to resources or other good videos that explain it? I may have spent 10 hrs in research but feel more confused than ever. I would consider myself a 50+ C class rider. I love your narration. Honest about what you're feeling, and realistic, and out there racing because you enjoy it.

I have looked around but have only found things I find confusing! It’s possible that neither of us is that bright, though? Glad you like the videos - I do love racing 👍👍

Did you race the Gamble Scramble? I did! It was my first race ever. Rediculously difficult. My chain fell off on the second lap, so I finished last - like you always speak of but never do. 😂

Congratulations! That is great news - I hope you had a good time? Not an easy course, you are right. Working on a video now for the Alligator Enduro, and the on to the Gamble Scramble. What class did you run??

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 I ran C Open with the XTrainer. It was so much fun, very challenging and definitely an eye opener on how much more I should be practicing and getting in better shape.

Another great edit. Keep them coming. I ran the same set of Mike Costa rally studs and they worked fine for me. Mine are worn pretty bad so i ran 6 psi out back and 8 in the front. Maybe lower PSI would have helped. Traction was not a problem but figuring out my new ICO Checkmate certainly was.

I ran my old long ones - maybe I should run the new rally spikes instead! Sigh. “Next time.”

Nice job not giving up!! Yup, I had the same problem with my camera battery crapping out at the start. I never changed it after gas. The 2nd half was definitely more technical but it was a fun race!

P2 - nice work! I thought the trails were great all day and would love another shot at that race👍. Why did our go pros work at 24 degrees but not 16 degrees? Physics, no doubt.
@scottyluck4402 жыл бұрын
@@eddielawsonjr.8705 Thanks! Yep, the trails were perfect in that they stayed frozen all day. I had the same battery issue at last years Snow Run. I only managed about 15min of video. But it was 5° at the start that day so I wasn’t surprised.
@eddielawsonjr.87052 жыл бұрын
I did last years and got tons of footage. But my race was so discouraging I decided not to do a video! Ha! I did the first section twice because I went left at the end, instead of right to the parking lot. Just to give you an idea of how the day went? Although … I was never cold that whole day!
