Question for ya! I'm 6'1 240ish lbs and I'm looking for a new bike to do this type of riding. I have an 04 450MXC and it's just a HOSS on the single track lol! Not getting rid of it since it was my kate Father's bike.... So I really like the 23/24 200RR Race Editions, but I rode my buddie's Husqy TE250 the other day as well. So would you recommend the TE250/250XCW, the 200RR race, or a 4 stroke of some kind like a 350 XCFW, Yamaha YZ250FX, or some sort of 4T or 2T GAS GAS etc....??? Thanks for your input, and I enjoyed the video! Just subbed!
@eddielawsonjr.870528 күн бұрын
Well, I like the idea of having a two stroke and a four stroke. The 200 is great - powerful enough even for a Big Guy, it also you can keep up with it and ride it hard. The 250 will be stronger and is a good combo of 200 and 300 qualities (unsurprisingly). Welcome to the channel!
@nickadkins776529 күн бұрын
I'm having a real hard time deciding between Te150/150xcw, TE250/250xcw, Beta 200RR, or Yamaha 250FX 🥲
@eddielawsonjr.870529 күн бұрын
I can help you narrow it down- not the 150. I think the other three are amazing. A friend of mine swears by the Yamahas. Less expensive, too. And KYB, right? Very attractive. Beta 200 is a 125 frame so physically smaller than the XCW. Beta 200 is a lot of fun 👍

I had a similar experience on my first ride of my 2024 390 RS, my battery died when I was too low rpm in 2nd trying to climb a steep rocky hill, and it also overheated. Next time I will downshift and keep the rpm up. I don't think the stock battery is any good though, they replaced it under warranty, but I bought an aftermarket battery anyway. You also have to DO A CONNECTOR CHECK BEFORE YOUR FIRST RIDE. My radiator fan wasn't even plugged in, and I found a pin that was pushed out of the fuel map connector during assembly. The bike is nice, but the battery sucks, and the connectors are cheap and poorly connected from the factory. I disconnected every connector on the bike, cleaned them with contact cleaner, and used dielectric grease on every pin.
@eddielawsonjr.87052 ай бұрын
This sounds familiar to other stories I’ve heard. I recharged the battery, and it’s worked fine ever since. But … a trip through the bike to check bolts, connections and apply dielectric is a good idea. 🇮🇹!

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 very cool I don’t think I can get the 200 plated here in Oregon. Mostly woods and singletrack here. The 390 is magical - the weight falls away once the wheels are rolling, and it’s very nimble. The 200 is more work, but not too much more, and the two stroke is really fun. Very light, too. The 200 is not great on road sections. Fine for 10 mins, but the 390 is a lot better.

The trees and the tree magnets are all in a very large conspiracy. I would call it a vast conspiracy, but I think that phrase has already been used. I asked Factory Connection to set me up for Enduro racing at a fast C Class old person pace. I gave them my weight, and they did the rest.

I haven’t seen any enforcement there - but I bet they would give you a hard time if you didn’t have a plate. If they saw you, that is. I suspect that if you don’t ride like a maniac on the road and parking area, you’re unlikely to draw that kind of attention.
