Do you know how easy it would have been for him to have avoided all this nonsense? Play the damn game. I'm not even talking about last season. Rookie year, 218 shot attempts between 10 feet and the three-point line in 81 games. That's less than three a game, but he's a rookie. Season _FOUR,_ 44 shot attempts from the same distance in 58 games. That's double-digit games where he made NO midrange shot attempts. Every offseason, what's the goal? Be better next season. That is, unless you're Ben Simpletons. You cannot be a ball-dominant, 6'10" PG in the NBA who won't shoot. Not "can't shoot." Not "don't shoot." WON'T. SHOOT. The mental stress only surfaced when he realized he wasn't getting paid.

You know, the Nets had one of the most promising young cores back when they went to the playoffs before KD and Kyrie came. They have literally jettisoned all of that save Joe Harris for this super team that has done nothing. And now Russell is a major piece of a resurgent Timberwolves team, Dinwiddie has elevated Dallas, Allen is a cornerstone and All Star in Cleveland. LeVert played well in Indiana and if he can get back to form for Cleveland, he could be a really good piece there. If the KD and Kyrie era doesn't bring a chip, it could go down as one of the worst super team misadventures ever. Also, Irving has less leverage than you think. Unless he wants to play for a trash team, none of the good teams have cap space to sign him for more than his player option. So unless he's willing to take less money in a worse location or play for a worse team out of pure *spite*, he's not going anywhere.

Hey A.M, Hoops, great video as always. But I took some offense on the time where you started talking about Ben Simmons' back problems. My mom has a similar disease and has had it for a couple (6) years now, and more stress causes back problems. I'm no doctor and I really didn't understand it until it put her in the hospital. Twice. It starts in the disc of the back and she had no disk as it had disappeared all of a sudden. So really, I understand you probably aren't a doctor and are a KZbinr with basketball knowledge and I don't expect you to get this, or anyone else for that matter. All I am saying is that this is real and things like running errands, getting ready for work, being at work, cooking, all of that affected her brain as stress, then went down to her spine. Please don't make any fun of it, as it can be hurtful to some people. It is not like sneezing and throwing out your back, I just don't think you understand the situation properly. Thanks for reading this A.M. Hoops (I hope you do and everyone who comes to the comment section), and I hope you don't take any offense. Still a great video man, keep up the good work!!

Not a fan of any of these teams, but I thought of this trade after the Hawks got booted, let me know what you think: Hawks get: J Grant, C Joseph, T Rozier, K Oubre, PJ Washington, Hornets 22 1st pick Pistons get: D Gallinari, J Johnson, Pelicans 22 1st pick (via Hornets) Hornets get: J Collins, K Huerter, Hawks 22 1st pick, Hornets 23 1st (via Hawks) For the Hawks, they are totally restructuring this team for a better fit around Trae. They are mainly doing this to bring in a better defensive 4 in Grant, a secondary ball handler in Rozier. They also get serviceable role players and move up in the draft. For the Pistons, they are getting rid of 2 expiring contracts for a young player, salary filler and a first For the Hornets, they are also restructuring this team for better fit. They are getting rid of Rozier and 2 expiring contracts to finally get a young center they like in Collins and another young player with 4 years left on his contract who fits well with Lamelo. They also get an additional first. I especially like the Hawks and Hornets rosters after this trade. If anyone says no I think it would be the Hornets, but I think if they cant find a trade for a star, this is a pretty good route.

In 1998, I had a herniated disc in my neck (head banging as a teenager injury 1988 seriously), and went through a very stressful time I handled horribly. My neck and upper back muscles tightened so much that I lost all feeling in my left arm and most of my right for several months. Insurance sucked and doctors couldn't fix me. Bankrupted me. Went to a chiropractor, who fixed me instantly, unfortunately at the cost of horrible neck pain ever since. So, partially paralyzed with no pain or mobility at the cost of pain. Ever since has been a journey of taking better care of myself. Tmi....sorry...just saying I know it's possible. After they got the arena, they ditched the community and sparked gentrification. The people who fought for the arena got pushed out of the community. I told Nets fans at the beginning of the season that I do not think they will ever win a championship there because of what they did to that community.

I really don't think Steve Nash is to blame. What can he do with the egos on that team? I don't think any of the coaches you named will be able to manage Kyrie or Simmons. Some of the leagues best coaches (including LeBron) have worked with both those guys and no one has done it. Nash was set up to lose, but it would honestly be the merciful thing to fire him and let him get a real HC job somewhere else. Maybe he'd take over for Quinn Snyder

4 year 80 million is the most i would give him .. or let him opt in, and let him leave next year, and trade KD for picks to do rebuild. If he doesn't like it, he can leave this season. Another, really crazy option, and the trade machine says the money works, is trading for AD and Lebron with everything that Brooklyn has (without Kyrie, KD and the veteran minimum guys). Lakers would get 3 picks, and they could then trade Curry, Mills, Brown and Harris for additional pick each, get the 3 rookies that Brooklyn has (Thomas, Sharpe and Edwards), Simmons and Claxton. So 7 picks, 3 rookies with some potential, Ben Simmons and Claxton for AD and Lebron. That's not bad

I’m completely fine signing Kyrie and I honestly think he would take a slightly lesser contract because he feels like he let the team down this season. They can keep all 3 stars but they need to fill out the rest of the roster better. They need a culture changer (a locker room guy/leader). Blake is a fan favorite so keep him. Keep Bruce & Claxton. We need to get players with size that can pass shoot and dribble. The clippers wings and Myles Turner would be nice
@reaper_is_unavailable2 жыл бұрын
I agree with this, I think the Nets FO should make sure they can get back some on Kyrie's contract. I would say they can put in some incentive in the contract for him to play more but Kyrie clearly showed that he doesn't care about money. Keeping Blake and making him the "Haslem of the Nets" sounds like a fun idea but there has been talks that Blake wasn't happy with falling out the rotation so there is a chance he may go to somewhere that offers him a bigger role (idk where would that be unless the Lakers want to repeat their season record)

@@reaper_is_unavailable tbh i know a lot of nets fans complain about Kyrie & playing games, but if you really think about it I don’t think any of us really want him to play more than 60-65 games lol

@@user-xn4bq2vv6y That is true, if you want healthy Kyrie in the playoffs then he has to miss some games

After 2 months, we learned Kyrie himself had no leverage, bc other organizations (except LAL) wasn't eager to get all of his nonsense. the relation with KD was his only leverage. 4:47 BKN had choice 4:00 Kyrie opt in.

kyrie to washington would be a great fit, they need a point guard
@reaper_is_unavailable2 жыл бұрын
That is a nice choice but the only problem is that Washington wouldn't pick up on it. Kyrie said that if he got traded he wouldn't play and at this if there is anything we can trust from Kyrie now is that he sticks to his word, so the threat of unavailability would be too much for Washington to risk.

I think their best option is think long term. Don't extend kyrie, he is not a player that is reliable either injury or his mindset. Work with Ben try to get him back on the floor next year. Trade him for good role players especially at centre position and wing players. Next off season find a super start that can help kd. That's it. You can t solve this mess with few role player.

🧐 Clearly the issue was Steve NASH. He was out coached all year. Harden pointed it out in and out was magnified in the Playoffs

If the nets get Payton jr it would be so clutch. Take the ball out of iso hands to create space. Nash would love his play style.

Nash is a bad coach. A better coach and they have a ring last year. Ben Simmons is just a toxic player who quit on everyone for a year.

Knowing how poorly this team is run like dumping Allen and bringing in Harden, who knows? Don’t be shocked if Claxton goes elsewhere (like OKC.)
Griffin should play games in the park with friends, not be in the NBA. There is no shame in that. He was a no1 draft pick like what, 10 years ago? for whatever reason, he hit his ceiling years ago and declined quickly. He could be a Lebron in terms of his body size but he isnt at all.
