Luka in 2020 & 2021: All Star-Starter. Luka in 2022: Drops two points less than last season, but same averages in all other statistics. I've also been very impressed with Darius Garland this season and think that he might deserve a bench spot in the East.

It’s unlikely that he could replicate the fg% on a bad team. All his feats are impressive. Which is why he should be on the bench. He just hasn’t been good enough to start this year.

This year, I shortlisted the twenty or so players I thought would be voted all-star or should be voted all-star for each conference. Then I took out all of the rookies and all the players who haven't played enough, like Adebayo and Davis. I basically select my 5 + 5 + 2 and rank the others as injury replacement, ordering based on team success, individual stats, and narrative. But when I vote? I vote for the best players that aren't locks. I don't vote for Giannis or Curry, I vote for Allen and Morant. Players that should be selected but will be underrated in the fan voting. Your method sounds pretty reasonable to me, but my method may cast doubts upon my judgment.

Of course, I know how great both these guys are and they are the best team now record wise. But Ja Morant's improvement has been insane. Trey young is like Allen iverson... of course they play nothing alike but what I mean is like you said without trey Atlanta would be a last place team. So he's like iverson in a sense that him being a really small guard that Atlanta can still build around and have success like Philly build around iverson. Particularly like that 2000-2001 iverson MVP season and how he carried that team on his back to the finals. Trey could definitely be in that position one day, he's already made it to the east finals in just his 3rd year.
