Some ISPs have mac authentication as well as simultaneous use function disabled. Creating a bridge connection won't help in that case. And as far as this connection is considered, the ISP has very unsecured network where you can dial the internet in any router within the LAN just by acquiring pppoe username and password.

If your ISP allows simultaneous PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet - even if it is over FTTP [Fibre To The Premises]) connections with the same credentials, I'd be more concerned about their lack of knowledge of their systems. Also, this video doesn't demonstrate both connections working simultaneously to provide 2 × ~100 Mbps connections. It could have easily been the case that when the second connection was established with the same credentials as the first, that the first was disconnected. ppoe account can be used at one place(device) at a time unless the isp is dumb. As far as ip is concerned, by default isp's assign dynamic ips that means on every new connection request a new ip will be assigned. That can be prevented if one specifically puts a request to isp for static ip addr. So uhh, this man just bridge modem to 1st router that makes the pppoe connection then deletes the pppoe creds from first router and makes the pppoe connection from 2nd (dlink's) router.

He is getting the same bandwidth (100 MBPS) on both connections, he has effectively doubled his bandwidth. Now, while one network is downloading something at 100 MBps, his second network will still give another 100 MBPS to him. He can have two simultaneous 100 MBPS downloads going on.

Once he does the speed test simultaneously you will see that nothing is really achieve here in terms of speed doubling.. This trick may extend your Wi-Fi range but can not increase your bandwidth...

Bruh, you gotta set the IP of the secondary router to something other than the factory default, before enabling WDS mode, or disabling DHCP. Only then will you be able to access the secondary router's config page.

No applicable scenario in real life whatsoever. You just need 2. 1 for bridging with no Wi-Fi. 2nd with full network management if you are looking to reduce ping. If not, well, good luck fighting with long time responses 😂. Current triple play units will have shitty OS by desing. Avoiding doing to much on them will save you time. Their processor are really bad and, currently in América, most ISP will set them @home without Digital Box for Old devices nor they don't have backward compatibility with the cable protocol. It's fiber after all, can handle all the request if it is multiplexing instead of mono.
