@Data_Knox for your CCIE lab. How do I know if everything is working for the lab? You really didn't do a video to show if everything works. Like if we should ping the internet from everywhere or what. Hopefully you can make an extra video for your CCIE lab. Thanks

Could anyone advise on one last step..to save the output from the python script to a newly created file in bootflash? I can use the open() function to save it locally to the guestshell directory/root etc, but wondering how to get that file to be saved outside the shell onto the IOS-XE bootflash dir. Any help would be much appreciated :)

ok.. not sure if there is a more 'official python / fancy way' of doing this.. but the CLI commands with a simple redirect or append on the show command worked perfectly! Just in case anyone else is wading through the Internet for this little nugget of info. :)

Knox for the lab do you reckon we will have some resources on these features like ncclient & guestshell config? I really don't want to remember all these commands for the programmatic side. Comitting these to memory is going to be a struggle. I'm hoping they go easy on us.

I really hope so. You’ll have access to Cisco documentation but I don’t know about ncclient docs

@@martinfiala4038 Took me 3 attempts but got my number in the end. You have access to Cisco documentation (you can search) and a ncclient page but I don't remember using it.

Hi Knox, one question. have you try to do it on this way? DEVNET-R1-JRNA(config)# event manager directory user policy "bootflash:/DEVNET" DEVNET-R1-JRNA(config)# event manager policy eem_script5.py EEM configuration: failed to retrieve intermediate registration result for policy eem_script5.py I always get that error, do you know how to fix it?

Yeah great video @Data Knox, but I don't think your EEM python policy actually ran at all. You need to register it but there seem to be all kinds of bugs with it. I get the same error as above. The official bug says the script needs to be in the root folder but even that didn't work for me.
