I faced one question by interviewer. that is If we connect PC to switch , what is inside process on switch and PC ? Please let me know the answer

PC and Switch connected through straight through cable. Swich understand the MAC address, the data frame which transfer from source PC to the layer 2 switch, thn layer 2 switch will find the MAC address of the destination device using MAC table......If MAC table not applicable, ARP will generate the broadcast message to find the MAC address of the destination device. ARP reply will be unicast address. Finally, the data frame which move from souce to the destination.

Switch port link will take time of 30 sec to came up beacuse of Learning state (15sec) Listening state (15sec) Forwarding state And then the switch port link will come up.
