Thank you for your videos Kevin.... I fly into Cebu on Nov 30th and did not know where i was going to stay as i dont want to stay in a hotel. Your videos have and will be a great help when my feet are on the ground. i will be coming to stay in Dumaguete to start my Philippine experience. Im not reaching out to any agents from here through facebook. I started to recieve invites to groups out of "no where" about dating in the Philippines. Lots of good info you and Gary provided in this video so thanks ! I kept scratching my head wondering who Gary reminded me of and it finally hit me - he slightly resembles Woody Harrelson :) He was great in the movies Zombieland and Kingpin ! I definitely agree it's way better to wait 'till one is in the Philippines when it comes to meeting girls and that 'foreclosure' thing is something I've never heard of either and worth looking into - if nothing else just to learn more about it but I would still suggest foreigners simply rent, They can always rent a house if they need more space than an apt. can provide. Networking is a must for some but not all. I’ve been involved with the Phils for 18 years, Duma was a great place to visit then but nowadays too many foreigners for me so I just visit for a few days. I prefer to mix with Filipinos and their lifestyles. I still like a walk along the boulevard but avoid foreigners if possible although I am one.

If I'm ever in in the Philippines, I will surely check Gary's breakfast treats. Those look just like the Jimmy Dean's sausages here in the states. Any chance Gary can open a stand at the Valencia Sunday Market? I watch Turquoise Sunset, and John and his wife shop there often. Many foreigners shop and buy home cook meals from sandwiches to desserts.

Hi Kevin, I enjoyed you vlog today and thought that the information will be very useful for me in going forward. I grew up in Mobile, AL and my mother was from Mississippi. Additionally I have briefly lived in the "Big Easy". My wife and I are planned to move to the Dumaguete area next February and would love to catch up with the both of you folks once settled in. The hospital not having supplies is very common. There are flea market style pharmacies outside the hospital. If the hospital uses their own supply and you don't pay they have no one to pick up the slack... In S. U.M. you won't be able to leave without paying. There is no government to recover money from nor no insurance billing dept.

It's true a foreigner Can not own land in the Philippines. However, a foreigner can outright own a house.
