Okay, it a nice explanation, but there is one big problem. All these classes are obsolete and non existent for almost 29 years. In year 1993 it was changed to CIDR/VLMS and there are no classes and no strict /8, /16, /24 subnets anymore. So this is like explaining how phonograph works - it's nice to know, but it's long time dead.

By the way it is VLSM not VLMS I partially agree with you but For beginner to understand i guess you cannot jump directly in to CIDR/VLSM....let them first understand classes and then explain about CIDR/VLSM.
