@@AJgeartalk I've experienced this only with some old stereo equipment, but I've been told about 20 times in my life that either the glue or rubber pads leak a solvent-like fume for quite for several weeks or months after assembly. I know guys that leave their padded accessories and cases open in the hot sun for a few days before putting older guitars against/inside them. I've left cases open for up to 2 weeks in my sun room b/c of the smell.
