Man I love your videos. I found your NLS the most informative video out there on them and for some reason I didn't sub back then :( Then I randomly found this and was smiling along the way with you. It is nice to see someone get lost and excited as I do with these plugins. Kinda kicking myself as if you are on their mailing list the give half off sales. I missed the Nolly one last night by a few hours... doh! Oh well, next time. Subbed, great content, keep it up!

Have both. Plini is the best. Half moon amp is a killer depends on main input and gain settings you can get nice crunchy tone with excellent articulation or more high gain.. For me personalny full moon is not needed, half moon is more than you need... I don't use Nolly so much as it has to much dirt if know what mean... However it might be good for guitarist preferring brutal heavy metal tone... Personally for me the best combination is Archetype Plini and Archetype Abasi👍Abasi has something unique for clean tone! It has blending which works very similar to piazzo like on John Petrucci Music Man guitar! 👍It makes clean tone crystal clean!
@ZozillaThaGreat3 жыл бұрын
Exact about the Abasi , sold it few dayz ago because i was waiting for bug fixes that takes ages to come , and i can use it on session .... but plini /nolly and now cory wong got me covered for cleans !! Thks for watching !! and stay safe ...

Do you prefer Nolly or Plini for cleans? It sounds like Plini is more natural than Nolly. However Nolly IRs are better than Plini's.
@ZozillaThaGreat4 жыл бұрын
You re right , plini sound more natural , and nolly have the best impulses ... but for cleans i even prefer abasi because you can control the di blend in . If you want an all arounder , Nolly is the way to go , this is the most versatyle ... if you re after natural sound , plini then ... you get that fender ...friedman type of warm ... abasi is to be tested , the clean is for me the best , the diff will be the 2 other amps . Thks for watching
@OmarGabra4 жыл бұрын
@@ZozillaThaGreat I have the Abasi, but I did not like how the compressor pedal colors the sound. Plus it adds more bass, when I increase the tone knob, it becomes too spiky. So I felt Abasi needs a lot of tweaking to get a good sound.

I quite never use pedals so you might be right !!

I feel you. Had to buy them both too some time ago. They are just amazing sounding. But eat CPU for breakfast. I absolutely love how they sound and how dynamic they are reacting on the material. Great video. Have a good time.
@ZozillaThaGreat5 жыл бұрын
Exact , as soon as you go stereo and reverb it get crazy (add to this oversampling) , that said last ik brian May also ... i guess quality comes at a price , can't recall how cpu hungry is the stl tones .... Thks for watching and for the comment
@nichttuntun33645 жыл бұрын
@@ZozillaThaGreat You're welcome. Problem with such super-quality is that you simply can't mix with them in a bigger context. The efx may be so great but who wants to record them at first place from a mix engineers perspective? Cheers
@ZozillaThaGreat5 жыл бұрын
@@nichttuntun3364 it depends on scenarios , really , if you jam , def use the built in for exemple or on live righ , during mix , simply don't use fx if your comp is struggling , the amp cpu hit whithout the reverb with regular oversampling (witch is enougth imho) is the same cpu hit as ik multimedia for exemple ... so more than usuable §!

I came here to decide between the 2 or maybe abasi, but I just cant.
@ZozillaThaGreat4 жыл бұрын
If had to keep one it would be Nolly because the option you go to no match cabinets , also the impulses are better imho than the ones in Plini ....but i would say at the end it depends on the tones you're after ... Abasi , what i like is the blend bewteen the clean and amp signal witch gives clean tone a beautyfull feel ...Plini has it also but fixed value (lisetn closely) .... Hard to choose so i got the 3 lol !!!
@MrNotYet14 жыл бұрын
@@ZozillaThaGreat Thank you! I am using GuitarRig atm, but these plugins seem like the next step. :D I really like heavy downtuned music, but also postrock and ambient music. Seems like both of these are capable, maybe a bit more variation on the nolly as you said.
