The Point of It, A Short Story by E. M. Forster

Very nice that the "ending" has so many facets. Lots of new age & Buddhist ideas in there. Forster died in 1970 when he was 91. Was he still a voracious reader w a sharp mind his last decades? Did he read about those ideas or intuit them himself. (I didn't look into the date in which he wrote this. I do know he stopped writing novels kind-of early, but don't know about him writing shorter things.)
