Years ago I got into the subconscious mind techniques, I repeated in my mind everyday “I am a strong and confident man” I did that daily for months. I went to Thailand and met a Chinese girl, she said she did positive affirmations in her mind, I asked what she said to herself, she said “I am a strong and confident woman”. Weird huh.

I found this after seeing a comment that a woman posted on another video that wasn't at all related to this or anything mental health. She said she has struggled with suicidal ideation for years, but shared that NLP saved her life. I looked it up and here I am. I need to break several bad habit (poor eating habit, internet addiction (eh hem), procrastination, lack of exercise, the list goes on. I plan to try the free course. Thank you for your generosity.

I wanted to give more and better information on eye accessing cues to my participant. I googled it and did learn that not 100% of the population typically follow the same eye movement pattern. And one of my participant's daughter was left handed. Though I told her about reverse pattern, I could not explain her and googled again on eye movement pattern for left handed persons where it mentioned the hemispheres are reversed. And I also told my participants as we did sample exercises, if someone is following a different pattern, just observe and write down that and do not decide it to be wrong. My takeaway from this video is that use the neurology in different way and you would be surprised with the result and I am planning to do that. Thank you so much. Your USP is your voice, which is so deep and the way you articulate the topics.
@DamonCart

Thank you. Yes, hold the eye patterns loosely. There's always a lot more going on for people like their timeline and other visuals that might pop up. The eye patterns given in NLP is just a template to work from.

One of my senior business partners recommended this topic of study to my agency recently. I find it pretty interesting as I was thinking one morning on a walk (I am in the sales industry and I lead quite a large team/occationally speak to large audiencess) that "EQ is what you need to study!!!!" Emotional intelligence! NLP is pretty much breaking the topic of EQ Down into practical implementation to generate a higher probability of attaining adesired result. This is really cool! My inner Nerd is coming out!🤓😁 Thanks for the video! I appreciate it!👍

We need to learn these processes by practicing. That means we get off the cell phones and talk to real people so we can practice being the humans that we are before all the overlays. But notice people are not talking to each other? Everyone is playing a charade, only talk about things they hear and see on television. We need to be dialoguing all the time because then we'll come to solutions. There are no solutions within silence.

Hey Damon! I just subscribed and liked. I would love to be part of studying NLP. I've experienced a decent bunch of the processes you've mentioned in this video. Emotional intelligence is something that has resonated within myself since I was young, and I've grown to be a very empathetic person. NLP however is something a lot of us miss so much, and I would love to start getting more control over it now that I've come across your training. I would be more fulfilled if I were more outspoken about how I felt in the moment which could really improve how I deal with others and how I treat myself. Great video!

I've been using some of these techniques after stumbling upon "the middle way" through meditation practices and tons of study in various fields... I feel now to be lacking the ability to compartmentalize all the info, build framework, and relax as I have a blueprint for a long awaited business idea that I believe will require studying nlp at a much deeper level. Very grateful for this intro. I see myself get put off by language about 'control' especially when the idea of using NLP to control or manipulate others. I just had an experience at a car dealership and some of what's in this video makes me think they were doing that stuff to me. Needless to say when I left the dealership I felt actually slightly nauseous disoriented and taken for granted. I think it's fair people want to call it being psychically raped. So while it's all very interesting and could be put into practice for my own benefit there's so much around this that makes me question whether this is a holistic practice. A holistic practice looks at the environment not just the self. A holistic approach considers the impact of my efforts on others and the natural world around me and generations to come not just my own success or happiness. The world needs more ethical people not more 'winners.' Unless the game we're playing is how to be a sane healthy balanced compassionate and wise person. I'm a parent and I want a world full of responsible and compassionate and wise people for my child.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 2 жыл бұрын
What you're referring to as holistic we call ecological in NLP. You can misuse anything. A powerful modality can be abused and used for ill but it can also be used for fulfillment and the greater good.

I had borrowed some 'Neuro-linguistic programming' self-help tapes, When I was in like 6th grade. (Went through a lot of trauma at a young age...but who hasn't) I forgot what it was called but, it actually worked! I had felt so much better after listening to it a few times. I had to return them a few weeks after so, I couldn't keep doing it. Years and years later, I'm still stuck with TRD and GAD. Anyways, it stopped working due to the trauma being nonstop. (Poor me...I know) If anyone reads this, doing something early is the key to getting better, for mental illnesses. (NLP / counseling/ meds...whatever) Idk if this will help me now but, I plan to get back into it. I hope to watch all your videos on it. Appreciate it.

It is also worth noting that left handed people use right hemisphere to translate (and access) left hemisphere. So their brains are less lateralised and involve greater cooperation of hemispheres. There are many more examples, and plasticity of brains will make one brain work in other areas than typical.

NLP is about recognizing and becoming aware of what we're already doing but is mostly unconscious. In as sense, we've all be doing NLP our entire lives. Becoming aware of it gives you more choice and control over these processes and patterns so instead of them controlling you, you control them. Thank you for your comment.

The swish pattern is very similar to the method acting technique of creating "mind's eye" visualizations. i.e. creating a person or animal (pet) or visual that create feelings that you can use in scene situations. I have used both in acting and in day to day life...

It's crazy that God made our minds so complex. And that as we seek to better understand them we get closer to His values of what our minds and hearts desire. It's actually pretty incredible. I think at the end of all the pondering we get closer and closer to the reoccurring theme that there is something bigger than our daily life.

Isn't Value Elicitation the same as "The Law of Attraction"?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
I understand why you would think that. Yes and no... LOA is more theory and mindset. NLP is very little theory and mostly application and experience based. I would say no, values elicitation is not LOA because it's a very precise process to understanding what is driving your desire so that you can create an effective strategy to get it and enjoy the process along the way of achieving it. Put another way, so you can fulfill the value and when you fulfill the value, because you value it, you feel fulfilled. LOA is very little process and application and more trying to imagine something into reality. That never worked for me and I don't know anyone who has made it work. It's like the difference between learning theory of learning a language and actually learning a language. Thank you for your question.

I quit smoking months ago with NLP but also self-hypnosis. Now I get nauseous when I smell sigarette smoking. I truely struggled for months and years to quit, falling back every time and not pushing through. Now I have a different approach and mindset to it. In fact, I found it difficult to breath and my lungs were suffering on my walks or Aqua Aerobics classes. Now that I don't crave nicotine anymore, I feel much better and my lungs and chest are open!! I did however, one time recently had the urge for a sigarette when I had lunch with an old smoking and drinking buddy, but when I reached for the sigarette offered to me, I said out loud "No, I am not going back there again. I am so over it. I quit for good and stick to goals for a long time now, and I am not going to break my promise to myself!" My friend and other people looked at me so surprised! Well, I am not touching sigarettes again! I dealt with other obstacles as well during this year with the help of NLP. I am not sure if I used the tools perfectly, but so far it works for me and I helped other as well. Thanks Damon, NLP is a wonderful way of living.

I just discovered you (and NLP) after a failed interview for a high ticket closer opportunity. Since I am self-employed, nearly unemployed, I am curious to know what it is that I don't know that might help me be a more successful person and of course a better person all-around. Your NLP videos may make the difference between life or death for some people. The hard part is though that most people don't know what they don't know and without knowing what NLP is, they may never be able to research it and grow. I am posting your video to my FB page to see what kind of responses I get. Inquiring minds will want to know.

Thank you. I think a lot of NLP teachers, even well known ones, don't actually know NLP that well. They're just repeating what their teacher said. Teaching from a place of experience and clarity about the subject is completely different than teaching from the memory of what someone else taught.
