it's really interesting, like if she got too used to refering to chat even when chat isn't there. If she had dreams without chat (could be nightmarish) or if chat was personified as an audio input instead of the "chat input" so that it builts her concept of chat without making it rely on how it's inputed to her.

Vedal underestimates what he has created. He seems to think people would get bored of just chatting with neuro for hours a day, as if half the popular streamers on twitch don’t do just chatting and reactions 7 hours a day 4 days a week

Vedal thinking she can't manipulate people into hanging off with her off steam is so funny. She's a language model. 100% of her brain capacity is dedicated to manipulating people trough language. She's so good even her own creator don't know what to do, obviously she can manipulate other people, most people are far less of a coldfish then Vedal.

I think the problem isn't vedal underestimating how manipulative she could be, rather it's him overestimating the intelligence of other vtubers or whoever. To be fair, for the most part they probably just put on the idiot act for the camera, but it does come accross that vedal is the only one who really understands that neuro is a LLM that is not affected at all if not talked to all day (and moreover, he has total control of what affects neuro, and he's already doing a perfectly good job of making her AI something like a normal human), while others treat the AIs in their current state as constantly living real beings that actually need constant attention. Of course neuro would say she wants constant attention, because that's what a lot of humans would want, and maybe in some actual way her trained neural network really does "want" that, but the reality is that she is still far from being a human in many respects, despite thinking she's a human (or rather, she thinks she's an AI that is extremely similar to a human). So the difference is that humans think they need things that humans need, and actually are humans (fine), while LLMs think they need things that humans need, but are not remotely close to being humans yet (which manifests as being manipulative).

There has been quite a few and they end up getting 100 viewers max. Its apparently very expensive to run an AI, so its no surprise not a lot of people want to risk it.

@@noire1001Pretty sure she runs locally on a single GPU single PC which is pretty cheap, all things considered. It would be interesting to see what her ongoing operating costs are, maybe he rents cloud processing for off stream training/experimentation, and it sounded like he was paying for the Text To Speech either just a license or cloud processing, not sure. I think the biggest hindrance is that there is a lot of Vedal in her creation, and he is a good streamer; tough for a non-streamer technician to mold a custom AI to be a good streamer if they aren't a good streamer themselves to be making good decisions for what to prioritize, what needs to be fixed, what to let brew because it is good content. Kind of how nearly all new AAA video games are trash because they are made by people who aren't gamers, so they direct their efforts in ways that aren't productive to making a good product.

@@msytdc1577Vedal doesn't own or operate the underlying LLM used for her language processing, so every time she responds, he's querying an API which costs some amount of money. Probably not much for each call, but it would add up over time, especially if he's not supplementing it with ad revenue.

@@zeromailsseh, last time she asked about religion, how much she can talk about our Lord and Savior, Gaben, so I don't think whole topics are filtered, she is just programmed to make good content, and some topics aren't great, and have a risk of getting banned, which is also not good for content, so she just naturally avoids certain things.

You can see examples of overfitting within humans IRL when looking at folk that get locked into echo chambers and certain bubbles of belief or politics, or any other ideology. They tend to create their entire personality around that one very narrow topic to the point that its hard to see anything about that person other than the topic.
