You get a croissant! You get a croissant! EVERYBODY gets a croissant! 🙂 I'm sure so many people can relate to working in an environment where their way of doing things is ignored and discouraged. Somebody that isn't Kat, tell us about a time where you felt ignored in the workplace! I'll go first! I used to work in this office doing custom vehicle design. Every time I had an idea or wanted try something different or new, I was so quickly shot down. The would say, "That's not how we do it here." or "we've always done it this way" Well...yeah! I'm telling you my idea because I think it might be better! It might not have been, but they never took the time to even consider it. After being ignored repeatedly and scolded for thinking outside their boring (and super inefficient) little box, I stopped suggesting things and just checked out. I got the message loud and clear. I am your design robot. You do not care about me or my mind at all. I am computer screen clicking machine. Click on the computer screen quietly or else. My productivity went down and my time surfing KZbin on the clock went up. My loyalty to the company went through the floor and I was strictly there for the paycheck. The first chance I had to bail I was gone. I'm sure they are still doing things in the same clunky way they always have been. I feel bad for the design robot that replaced me and the design robot that will one day replace them. There's so many opportunities for innovation and growth. We just need to take a little time and have a little humility! When did we all forget how to be curious?

Love Chez Genèse. Attended event they catered last week. Very nice. Eating in and out we are lucky to have them.
